No NCAA inquiries at Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech is not being investigated by the NCAA.

With many other schools in the ACC and SEC, including Georgia, receivingrecent taps on the shoulder from college sports’ governing body, Tech was all clear Wednesday night.

On Wednesday, Georgia became the latest school to be notified that the NCAA wants to take a look around. The Bulldogs join North Carolina, Alabama, South Carolina and Florida for alleged improper relationships between players and agents.

Yes! I know this isn’t Bark Madley, but first is first.

Nice to know we run a reasonably clean program. Too bad the mutts can’t say the same thing.

I heard the other day some lady called the Athens police department to report someone was breaking into her home. The voice on the line told her “We’re busy right now. Just get their jersey number and call us back later.”

I had a mechanical engineering class with a 2 football players and 1 basketball player and we actually had a test question that ask how many halves are in a 3 dimensional shape formed by rotating the line x=4y+sin(y)+12, around the y axis. We are care more about sports than education, we are a disgrace and we don’t even care!

Because there’s no talent down in crime-ridden BugLand that excites NFL agents or scouts.

Therefore, no trying to ply athletes with cash or gifts.

You must be one of those history majors from U(sic)GA. The NCAA rescinded the vacancies. We actually won those games. Nimrod

Guess BugKiller missed the two first round picks last year and two out of the last three years a GT receiver being taken as the number one overall receiver in the 2007 and 2009 NFL drafts respectively. Hope we stay in the clear….GT has a great compliance staff that is taking all the necessary steps in case a call comes.

I bet Stephen Hill will be a draft pick…I bet GT has a few future first round picks on its defense…you guys dont know…but yes next year we have no strong first round candidates. But who knows what can happen…plenty of guys can play their way into the top rounds…it happens every year.

You aksed how many halves?? There are always 2 halves… this shape is no more than a inverted cone with a sinusiod surface…… The answer is 2

Honroable Tech, no offense, but it’s NIT picking not NIP picking. And yes, I am nit picking even bringing it up. But if you’re going to use expressions like that, you should know what they are….it comes from the practice of picking nits (the eggs of lice) out of hair. I’m sure all the mutts are familiar with that, because most of them probably have head lice, or even crabs…..LOL

It is about time your program is on the hot seat especially with the season only 6 weeks away. It must be nice to be able to major in football and minor in how to interview a sport’s agent!

And you can’t change the fact that UGAG is currently the laughing stock of NCAA athletics. I hope you don’t think Tech fans are the only ones laughing at the antics of your overly libidinous drunken former AD and the fact that you are currently at or close to the top of numbers of arrests of football players, not to mention the fact that year after year you have, according to you lonely, pathetic losers who post on opposing teams’ blogs, those top-10 recruiting classes and yet have very very little to show for it. How does it feel to be the laughing stock of the southeast, if not the nation? And remember, just because a man has lots of money and drives a Rolls Royce, that doesn’t mean he’s worth a damn. So too is the case with a university (sic) like UGAG with a 90K capacity stadium; you’re still not worth a damn.

The only reason this is not happening at Tech is because they don’t have any players that agents want to represent.

It’s easy to accuse someone before the facts are in. Thats exactly want gor Obama in so much trouble lately. Everyone had better wait until the facts are known before they jump on the blame band-waggon. Do you really think UGA would be bringing AJ Green to SEC Media Days this a.m. if there was anything to this story? There will be 1,000 members of the media there asking questions.
Wait and see who’s in the clear and who’s not. . .

AJ said he was at home 600 miles away from this party. He looked the UGA officials in the eye and said no sir, I was not there. End of story! I for one believe AJ Green. Remarkable makes a real valid point. Why bring AJ to a SEC media event if you thought he was guilty of breaking the rules? Nothing about this inquiry is going to pass the smell test.

Go Jackets. Fill me in. What’s that about a censure from Congress over UGAG’s CLAIMED 1942 championship. I am not familiar with that and obviously enjoy hearing anything good (from a Tech point of view, that is) things about UGAG.

OMG

July 22nd, 2010

Paddy and Remarkable, although I’m not saying Green is guilty of anything, UGAG MIGHT not have known anything about it when they decided to bring him there. If they have any doubts about his veracity now, then I doubt that they showcase him the way they had planned. If they believe he’s not guilty of anything, then I’m sure they will go ahead.
