Vacation and the World Cup…wait, read on!
I’ll be on vacation for the next two weeks, spending time with my family and watching the world’s coolest sporting event. When I return, who knows what the ACC will look like? Perhaps it will stay the same. I doubt it, though.
While I’m gone, I hope that you will share your favorite Tech sports moments from the past season on the blog.
Two of the coolest ones for me:
- The lightning storm during the Tech-FSU game as the teams were causing the scoreboard to explode.
- Bay-Bay holding off the Clemson DB for about 20 yards as he scored a TD in the ACC championship game.
There are plenty more in basketball, baseball, etc. Let’s hear yours….and Georgia fans, let’s be cool and not hijack the thread.

Too easy, more like too sad. Do you ever read the UGA blogs? Always at the Tech sites stirring it up trying to feel better about yourself? Get used to last year, mediocre is in your future, that sight pulling away from you on the horizon is the elite of the SEC speeding away from you. UF, Bama, LSU, elite, Kentucky, Arkansas, SC, UGA, Ole Miss, MS St mid level teams kept in the conference to fill out the schedule.

CJ. Yeah, humiliated!!! Dawgs were suffering through the worst year in CMR’s tenure while git was supposed to be the cream of the acc crop. You know its funny, Tech finally gets caught, not surprised though.
Tech is lucky, location plays a huge role in more players not getting caught
Tech is able to hide all of its incidents due to the high crime wave that occurs around the campus that is why more incidents never get reported

Atlanta has some rough neighborhoods, true. But there are a lot of great attractions and really nice areas, too.
Athens has some rough areas, but no redeeming qualities to balance it out. Unless you count the WalMart nearby.

Love how proud UGA fans are of beating Chan Gailey…
Richt is 1-1 against Paul Johnson.
In 2008, UGA was supposed to be a national title contender and Tech was supposed to be the worst team in the ACC; Tech beat UGA in Athens.
In 2009, Tech was 10-1 and UGA was struggling; UGA beat Tech in Atlanta.
Yet some of you think this is “dominance” by Richt over Johnson.
Seems pretty even to me so far.
