Vacation and the World Cup…wait, read on!
I’ll be on vacation for the next two weeks, spending time with my family and watching the world’s coolest sporting event. When I return, who knows what the ACC will look like? Perhaps it will stay the same. I doubt it, though.
While I’m gone, I hope that you will share your favorite Tech sports moments from the past season on the blog.
Two of the coolest ones for me:
- The lightning storm during the Tech-FSU game as the teams were causing the scoreboard to explode.
- Bay-Bay holding off the Clemson DB for about 20 yards as he scored a TD in the ACC championship game.
There are plenty more in basketball, baseball, etc. Let’s hear yours….and Georgia fans, let’s be cool and not hijack the thread.

Watching our a-backs chop down VT’s Cam Chancelllor over and over again after he said he had figured Techs offense our. Then to watch our offense hold the ball for 23 mins in the 2nd half.
The best moment was the winning drive in the ACC champ game, you could tell they were gonna get a TD no matter what.

WINNING THE ACC CHAMPIONSHIP in Tampa best moment for me because I was there but best game was the first 3 td’s against Clemson in Sept. watching Anthony Allen go 85 yards in the first play of the drive, then Jerrard running it back for a TD and the best of all, Blair to Thomas for a TD, how awesome was that! Damn when can football get here..let’s go Jackets

Tech winning the ACC championship!! I was there and it was great! It helped so much after the bitter taste of losing to uga. Nesbitt was amazing!! Can’t wait for football!!

Why UGA fans keeps saying they run this state?? because beating us made their seasons seem not so bad…. and they ran against a crappy defense, look what CJ spiller did by himself against the defense.. they can talk all they want, but they know whats coming to their home stadium next season… I pray to have another BLACKOUT moment LOLOLOLOL 34-0 at half in your stadium against your supposed best team in 30 years… WOW

Roberson, why do you feel the need to baby these Techies? First you ban any mention of “30-24″ back in December and now you’re worried about UGA fans hijacking the thread? Are you aware of the mindless nonsense that pollutes the UGA blogs? All of our football players are illiterate criminal thugs. Somebody posts something along those lines every single day multiple times. It sometimes borders on racist if you ask me. Nobody at the AJC seems to care about that. Nobody at the AJC was worried about Techies hijacking UGA threads with “45-42″ a year ago. But here you are getting all sensitive about a little harmless bragging rights? Absolutely laughable. Nesbitt stealing the fumble back in the FSU game was the best single moment of the year.
The best game was the ACC Championship game. Poor scheduling on the part of ESPN kept most of the country from seeing this game, but it was an incredible game. No defense whatsoever, but the offenses of both sides were explosive and it went right down to the wire.
The VT game was also great, especially in light of Kam Chancellor’s comments leading up to the game.

Georgia has an embarrassing year yet beats Tech and they couldn’t be happier.
No SEC title, a trip to Shreveport, but a win over Tech equals a successful season to UGA fans.

I bring up 30-24 all the time because its very odd to me that 45-42 defined your entire ‘08 season while 30-24 mysteriously has nothing to do with ‘09. Don’t you think that’s a little strange? I mean from my end as a UGA fan, we were supposed to be mortified that we lost to Tech that year according to the media. Yet your AJC blogger takes umbrage at any mention of 30-24. I smell a double standard.

Step up your game and perhaps you will get to play in the dome come Dec. Keep going like you are and Vandy will be scheduling you as their homecoming game. James Forest Shot to beat USC abd send Tech to the SWEET 16. Mark Price and Tech beating UNC 3 times in 1 yr in 85. Tech playing UNLV better than Duke did in the Final Four in 90. Sitting in Lane Stadium with my Mom and DAD watch Tech and Calvin Johnson Beat VT for the first time in their house.
