Irina Falconi defeated Northwestern’s Samantha Murray 6-3, 6-4 on Thursday in the second round of the NCAA Championships in Athens.
She will face Washington’s Venise Chan or USC’s Alison Ramos in the next round on Friday.
Falconi, a sophomore the top-ranked player in the nation, hasn’t lost since Feb. 13.
