Guillermo Gomez and Irina Falconi advanced in the NCAA Tennis Championships on Thursday in Athens.
Irina Falconi defeated Northwestern’s Samantha Murray 6-3, 6-4, and Gomez defeated Alabama’s Saketh Myneni 7-6 (5), 6-4.
Falconi will face Washington’s Venise Chan on Friday. Gomez will face Stanford’s Bradley Klahn or Tennessee’s Boris Conkic.
Falconi, a sophomore and the top-ranked player in the nation, hasn’t lost since Feb. 13.
