I like how this shakes out. I would rather be in the group with Clemson and VT, than to trade places with UVA and face Miami and FSU.

I pick UVA to take Group 1 (followed by UM, FSU and BC), and GT to take group 2 (followed by VT, CLEM, and NCSU), both finishing 3-0 going into the Championship game. Could be a great tourney!

Go Tech!

I’m highly disappointed in the lack of coverage of the womens softball games this weekend.

Thanks to Jen Yee and the rest of the seniors for a memorable season.

Go Jackets!

Buzz29 I was also mad that not a Blog or Any notes on the Girls game. I did watch them on tv. Hope Rush had a rough weekend. 1 Fly ball by Hope in the 7th inning and Tech gets to rest and play a second game.

Yeah Dougie, get on the stick. You and your AJC cronies keep the Bulldogs news updated by get to GT when you feel like it. Maybe that’s why the paper is dying

I blogged on Thursday previewing the baseball series, and wrote a feature for Friday’s paper about the softball game.
The results of the games have been on ajc.com all weekend and in the paper.

the softball game was televised and they lost on top of it so why you guys and gals coming down on AJC so hard? Good luck Jackets and go get’em in Greensboro.

Doug, on another note, what can fans do to start a Nesibtt for Heisman campaign? His passing stats is what all the naysayers want to argue but that is bull. Nesbitt is a warrior and I do not exactly see a Heisman candidate rulebook which stiplulates a QB must be a passer at all. I am tired of Heather D at ESPN and the rest of the lot with no authority condemn Nesbitt before the season has even started. I was watching some of his plays on Youtube and was amazed at his leadership skills, he is a beast. Thanks for you help.

Nothing gets me more excited than Pool Play in the post season!!! Especially a format where Tech could finish 2-1 and lose a tie break to Clempson even if GT beats them in the tournament, and even though GT had a better ACC record (by 3 games) and swept Clempson in the regular season. Not to mention the inevitable meaningless games between 2 teams already eliminated from advancing. The ACC baseball tournament format is completely asinine.

I have a few questions for Doug or anyone else who might be able to explain. How are seeds determined in the ACC baseball tournament? How is Clemson a #2 seed when four teams had better regular season ACC records. It makes no sense. Also, who decided the order of games. Four teams will alrady have played two games by the time Tech takes the field on Thursday night. Then, assuming Tech makes the championship game, they will have to play four games in 65 hours. What BS!! I still see Tech in the final but it doesn’t seem fair.

gtbaltfan, the winners of the divisions automatically get the #1 & #2 seeds.

CT_Jacket nailed it: The respective division winners get the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds.

That’s a good idea to talk Yee about her season.
