rex, of course I knew that UGA alumni created our school. That doesn’t take any intelligence at all to know that. It just proves, however, that at least at one time in history, somebody from UGAG was smart enough to know that the quality of education offered in Athens was inferior, and something needed to be done. Hence, they founded Ga Tech.
And since when is Tech in the slums of Atlanta or is Athens a beautiful, peaceful town? I’ve been there, and it’s NOT a beautiful town by a long shot, and as far as peaceful??? Well, if you call a town where tenured professors murder their wives in public, and in front of their children, peaceful, then I would hate to see what you call an unpeaceful place

It was so rainy today at Historic Grant Field at Bobby Dodd Stadium that the only dry place was between Paul Johnson’s second and third chins.

Supersize….truthfully…how does it feel that the downfallen program in Athens that is such a laughing stock..totally irrelevant, and whether they will be looking for a an entire new coaching staff in 3 years or not…how does it make you feel to know that a program “in such shambles”…according to YOU…has beaten your nern herd 8 of 9 and has OWNED YOUR sorry arse program for the last 45 years…and counting!
PLEASE tell me what that says about team!
GT’s last major bowl win…53 years…and counting…43 years between major bowl appearances, which was a loss to a pitiful big 10 team!
Come on IDIOT…share your feelings..backed with facts!
IF any of what you said is/were true..then EXACTLY what does that say about the techies?

BrokeBack, if you want to live in the past, how does it feel that Tech OWNED the mutts in the 50s, had more bowl games and more bowl wins than almost any school in the country, etc, etc, etc. The past is the past, whether it’s the past 10 years, or the past 100. It’s all good to remember, but it doesn’t mean a thing now. The FACT is that Tech is on the rise, and UGAG is on a definite decline. Tech is 1-1 against the mutts since CPJ arrived. The results of both games were surprising, since Tech won when UGAG was favored, and UGAG won one when Tech was favored. We start from scratch this year, so to speak, and from my point of view, Tech is overall in much better shape than is UGAG. Am I predjudiced there? Of course, I am, and I am sure you are too. We will find out in the Fall and in the coming years just whether what I said is true or not.

By the way, brokeback, since the past seems to be so important to you, did you know that in spite of the past 45 years, Tech still has more conference championships than UGAG does? Tech has a total of 16, to UGAG’s 13, and that includes those 60+ years when both schools were in the same conferences.

Poor supersize. You are so angry with the information I have delivered you. Our great UGA alumni decided Atlanta needed a technical school, for which UGA is not. They wanted it as far away from Athens as possible, since they new there would be nothing “Georgia” about it. And from the looks of the Tech fans they were absolutely right. English is a second language on that joke of a campus.
Oh please. UGA students don’t have to worry about getting robbed and mugged on a daily basis. And they definitely don’t have to worry about their own students setting off bombs on campus or attacking each other with swords. Seriously, what is wrong with you people?????

“through my computer out the window”……hmm, is that how they teach you to spell in Athens? That’s sort of like the “new” that rex typed earlier in place of the correct “knew.” Actually to his credit, rex’s error was probably a typo, but “THROUGH” instead of “THREW”??? That’s no typo. That’s just plain ignorance.

funny that the past 10 years doesn’t mean anything to you. I wonder why that is? Yes, but I know your knees are knocking at the thought that if the Gobbler couldn’t beat UGA’s worse defensive team in years, without their best player, at home, with the best team he’ll ever have at Yech, then what will happen next year???

If I remember correctly, Hershal didn’t even get drafted by the NFL. He played for the USFL or whatever the hell the league was. He was the most over-rated football player in history. Never did anything after he finally reached the NFL. He rminded me of Tiny Tim, tip toeing thru the tulips was his running style. He got to the line of scrimmange and stopped , then tip toed until he was crunched. What a friggin loser he was.

why is that sad, rex? Do you have something against older people? Maybe one day, if you (unlike your football players) can stay out of jail, you will grow old and develop a little wisdom. As far as the results of last year’s game, what do you have to say about St Mark not being able to pray his way to victory over Tech 2 years ago IN Athens with a pre-season number team and two of the best players in UGAG’s non-illustrious history?
