I’m glad I decided not to drive up from Augusta. The bad weather forecast didn’t make me feel good about conditions, and apparently I was right. I hope enough was done by halftime to show what’s coming up in the Fall.

Thanks for all of the details you are providing! NOT! Also, thanks for answering the ongoing question about Dwyer’s not being drafted.

What IS the deal there (with Dywer)? Somebody must have some factual information, and not just the BS that all the mutts have been posting.

recruits are watching and taking notice. An offense that is in the top 5 nationally in rushing yards and their best running back isn’t even a blip on the radar???? Bad news for the thugs from North Ave.

The best Dwyer and his worshipers can hope for is that NOT A SINGLE NFL front office bought the drug excuse the cheats from Tech tried to sell. Because if he’s falling this far on his skill set….JUST WOW……

i really do feel bad for dwyer. he had a real good shot to make some serious money a fews years ago. rotten luck he had to play for a div 1aa head coach who has no clue on how to coach running backs up or qbs for that matter. oh, i almost forgot…receivers either. he cost bey bey millions

It looks like the baseball team is ready for the post season. Lots of errors, no ability to advance a runner, and another poor job of managing the pitching staff from the dancing coach. Usually they wait until May before they begin playing like this.

Resign or Resign?

ATL XMAN, I hate to disappoint you, bubba, but Tech is still loaded at running back. I hated for Dwyer to leave early, but he was easily replaced with Allen. And after Allen, there will be others. Dwyer was not Tech’s first running back of note in the past decade (remenber, Daniels and Choice?) Neither of them went high in the draft either, but that didn’t prevent them being replaced when they left. Allen came to Tech after Tech hired CPJ (he had to sit out CPJ’s first year because of his transfer from Louisville), so don’t think CPJ can’t attract good running backs.

And since Bay Bay went in the first round, how do you figure that CPJ cost him millions???

Guys i have seen on scout.com, that dwyers work ethic has been questioned and he has gained weight as well. The story on him failing a drug test before the draft did not help him either. It’s ashame, because john is a great football player and i wish him the best. Tech is loaded at running back so i’m not concerned about the offense at all. we got hill a 6-4, 4.3 forty guy who turned down ugay stepping in at WR as well. We will still put 30 plus up each game and our defense under groh will be much better. Jackets get by vt and the tar heels, we will win the acc title again! It doesn’t hurt that we are coached by one of the best in the nation either! GO JACKETS!!!!!!!

WRECK94, if you remember last Fall, Dwyer showed up overweight in August, and it was several games into the season before he looked like the Dwyer of 2008. He was said to have some kind of injury, but I thought at the time that the returning ACC player of the year should have been in better shape than that. Maybe he does have a work ethic problem. That COULD be related to his ADD, but whatever the reason, his agent or somebody should have been drilling that into him all these months.

J-Zee, the front offices of the NFL knew already about Dwyer’s ADD. The report last week was nothing new to any of them. You really think they sit around reading newspapers and online blogs to find out about prospective players. They knew months ago that Dwyer has ADD and is on LEGAL medication for it. THERE IS NOT DRUG PROBLEM !!!

And you want to talk about thugs? No, I don’t think you want to, considering how many mutts have been arrested …. not to mention being kicked off the team.

The only downfall is in Athens, where they can’t even keep the athletes out of jail. UGAG is the laughing stock of the SEC. They are totall irrelevant nationally now, and will probably be looking for an entire new coaching staff in 3 years.

Actually, they knew we needed a technical school to help compete with the northern Yankees. Unfortunately, they didn’t foresee that all the students that would inhabit Tech would be Yankees and foreigners. But maybe they did, and that’s why they stuck it in the slums of Atlanta, far away from the beautiful, peaceful town of Athens……..
