Tech season-ticket renewal forms on their way

Georgia Tech football season-ticket holders will begin receiving their renewal forms in the mail Saturday.

In addition to the $260 season-ticket package, the Institute is offering a $180 package that includes seats in the upper section of the North end of Bobby Dodd Stadium. It is being nicknamed the “Gold Zone,” according to an article on ramblinwreck.com.

Season tickets can be renewed or purchased on the site, or by calling 1-888-Tech-Tix. The renewal deadline is April 16.

Tech’s home schedule for 2010:

Sept. 4 South Carolina State

Sept. 25 North Carolina State

Oct. 9 Virginia

Oct. 16 Middle Tennessee State

Nov. 13 Miami

Nov. 20 Duke

Estimated prices for away game tickets range from $75 for Georgia (Nov. 27) to $45 for Wake Forest (oct. 2). The Thursday night game against Virginia Tech is an estimated $48 per ticket.

I know the postal and ISP organizations are really gearing up for this rush. What a home schedule! Glad both of you fans make so much so you can come to Athens.

I can’t wait to buy season tickets because I really love the 4 free hot dogs and 4 free cokes that go with buying season tickets. Also, since UGA won’t be at Bobby Dodd this year, this means that I will get an excellent chance of getting 50-yard line tickets since nobody else will buy our season tickets!

It’s so great to be a GT fan!!

This is why it would have been good to have done the deal with UGA at the dome and switched up our schedule. Every other year the home schedule sucks. I’m still going, but last year I got to see Clemson, UNC, VT, and UGA and this year I have Miami. bleh

I always enjoy the comments by everyone on these Georgia Tech articles as they provide a great source of entertainment. Although I find it quite strange that the majority of these folks are actually fans of UGA. But that is what makes college football the best sport all year long.

For more Georgia Tech Football articles go to http://isportsweb.com. Looking forward to spring football at both schools.

WRONG………………
UGA CHARGES THE SAME FOR EVERY GAME NO MATTER THE QUALITY OF THE OPPONENT. I THINK ALL GAMES WERE 40.00 PER GAME LAST YEAR.

Is there a link that provides information for donation requirements for the sideline seats? Sure season tickets are only $260, but if I want to purchase decent seats, I assume a donation requirement is also needed on top of the $260. If anyone has a link, please provide.

I’ve got pretty good seats and I think with donation they run about 800-1000 each. I think you can find decent seats in the lower level for maybe $4-500 each.

have bought every year since ‘79 alreadylooking forward to the opening kick-off(should be a touch-back), WITH CHAN GONE it’s still college football & tix should pick up, just open the lots up earlier-going to vt, CU, & sanford & son (look at the toilets & see why we call it the “cesspool of the south”)…more fun winning there anyway, & when they try to give me a hard time, i just say, it don’t matter how obnoxious you are, you are NOT getting MY tix(if you don’t have to call a cop-not as many there as most venues)-when my kid was younger, so-called adults harrassing a kid(most places, you don’t pick on kids & old folks)converted apathy to total dislike(you don’t go to Tech because you are a conformist)…

Mailing out renewal forms to all GT season ticket holders will cost GT $242.00 according to a report filed with the AJC. A spokesman for the GT Athletic Association was quoted as saying ” 44 cents a stamp is really cutting into our budget, we may have to cut back on our promotions this year. We’re not made out of money around here”

Why would anybody pay to see the NATS go 2-4 on that weak home schedule?

Sept. 4 South Carolina State – win

Sept. 25 North Carolina State – win

Oct. 9 Virginia – loss

Oct. 16 Middle Tennessee State – loss

Nov. 13 Miami – loss

Nov. 20 Duke – loss

Tech charged Georgia fans $75.00 per ticket at Bobby Dodd last year, therefore Georgia will charge Tech fans $75.00 at Sanford Stadium this year.

Wow! Only one Georgia player was arrested yesterday. Maybe they can reduce their ticket prices next year if they can cut back on the money they spend to bail their players out of jail. Nice job Albert.

The only freebie stuff I’ve seen occured this season for uga basketball. $5 tickets and a free t shirt! uga rednecks hate the truth. their program is in a downward spiral so they resort to bashing their chief rival. they use to do the same to fla. uga football is in a lot of trouble. when they lose 5 games again this year, the redneck yowls will get louder and louder. poor stinky rednecks.

I just wonder who will be favored in SC State and MTSU games. Duke, Virginia and NC State are easy wins. Are you kidding me? They should be paying us to go to these games. I look for 20,000 fans per game in 2010. Thank God for the U.

The weakest home schedule in memory, but yes, I’ll be renewing my football season tickets again. I expect a rebuilding year, especially on defense, but at least the relatively weak opposition at home ought to result in a home winning streak by season’s end.
On the other hand, I have already stopped buying BB season tickets and will not resume buying them until we are rid of Hewitt.

Seriously, you are renewing?? My 3 prime Gold Club seats are available. that is a joke of a home schedule and certainly not worth 10 dollars – let alone nearly $800. That doesn’t include the $1800 donation. Not worth it. Coach downplaying the UGA game all week leading up to it then losing it did nothing for me. We have lost it 8 out of the last 9 years. When he gets to 3-1 vs UGA, I will renew. Not before.

Are you serious? I go to Bobby Dodd Stadium (winningest home football stadium in college history) to watch the team running out of the lower east stands and standing on the west sidelines. Who cares who they are playing? I’ve already renewed. Good road trips this year too, Blacksburg, Chapel Hill, and Clemson are always good times. Athens? Bleh, wish they would blow up the whole town, but I’ll be there too.

There’s a school named South Carolina STATE??

Some of the away games will be tough……UNC, VT & Clemson. But the Kansas, WF and UGAy games kind of balance it out.

GT FAn – I can come back whenever I like and you have nothing to say in that. GT rolls out the red carpet for my thousands of dollars. You pay 20 for your end zone seat – you have no say so here. Why pay 3 thousand dollars to watch South Carolina St, NC St, Middle Tenn, etc. Huge waste of money. And Johnson is 1-1 vs UGA/ Gailey was 1-6 vs them wasn’t he? Whose to say Johnson wont be the same when it’s all said and done. Buy your basketball tickets too you fool.
