UGA has players coming in next season such as :
Da’ Rick Rogers with 4.34 speed in the 40-yard dash with 6 feet 2 inches who is ranked the Number 1 Receiver in the Nation.
Brent Benedict a 6′ 6″ Offensive Tackle out of Jacksonville who is ranked the Number 6 Offensive Guard in the Nation.
Kolton Houston a 6′ 5″ Offensive Guard out of Buford who is ranked the Number 4 Offensive Tackle in the Nation.
Alec Ogletree a 6′ 3″ Safety out of Newnan who is ranked the Number 2 Safety in the Nation.

Isn’t that cute. ‘Bat and Surinam are excited about their win over Georgia last year. Why would anyone voluntarily go to a school like this? There is VT, TT, and Southern Tech as options if you still want to go to a technical school. Probably won’t be in class with Islamic terrorists that way. Just sayin’.

You know fellow Techsters,
While I am not a big Crimson Tide fan, Tide Alum has it right – all the UGA posters were not here 2-3 years ago when Tech program was mediocre.
Now that Tech has the 10-2 team, the Conference Championship Team, the Orange Bowl team, the spot UGA 18 points in Athens and then ran over them like doormat team. The UGA posters live here.
Think about it: The one thing that these UGA folks have to cling to is that they beat Tech this year. Their football team is 7-5, with just one big time win, GT.
I want these UGA folks to stay. They beat the superior Football program and that is ALL they have to cheer about.
Paul Johnson is the best thing to happen to GT since Bobby Dodd and the real UGA folks are crapping their britches about it. UGA fans post here because they realize that they are about to become an automatic win for Tech much like they are for Florida.
Can we get UGA as our homecoming patsy?

2. If you hit Texas or Arkansas please stop and ask for directions.
3. Please invest in a new road atlas. I hear they have them marked down at all Fred’s and Wal Mart for $4.88. And only $4.99 at Dollar General.
4. Please, before leaving, turn your watch back one hour and your calendar back 30 years. This should be pleasant for you as it will put you near the early 80’s which you own!
5. Please play your Harry Munson Glory Years 8 track tape the entire way over to get your juices flowing so to speak.
6. Please change your oil before you go.
7. Please remember to leave some road kill for those traveling behind you that are more needy.
8. Please DO NOT cook your road kill at any of the rest stops along the way (at least the first ones you come to in each state).
9. I know Georgia travels “well” but please also try to travel discretely.

17. Please make sure your Cable bill is paid up so you can watch real teams play in real (January) bowls.
18. Please make sure your Rivals bill is paid up so you can feel better about yourself and your program before signing day.

It is truly shocking that UGA with majors like animal health, printmaking, dance, and film studies has a wider recruiting base. One thing Tech fans know- education first, athletics second. No need to live vicariously through our student athletes- simply applaud and appreciate their efforts. It is fun to watch the small minded UGA fans whose day is made on “that big ol’ lineman” we just signed. If it wasn’t so sad it would be funny.

Amen brotha!!!! The ACC is a disgrace to real college football fans all across the country. The fact that they even have an automatic bowl bid, after years of proving they are nowhere near capable of competing with other BCS conferences, is laughable.
I suggest, in the season’s spirit of giving, all the ACC football programs should voluntarily disband and give their equipment to the needy, ie; local high school football teams.

Actually, the 3 conferences with the highest bowl game winning percentage (a great way to measure success against other conferences) are::
(1) PAC 10 at 53.6%
(2) SEC at 53.0%
(3) ACC at 52.4%.
Do some research before you spout off at the mouth. Congratulations on beating GT this year, but good grief … don’t get so giddy with excitement that you pi$$ your pants and sound like an idiot.

And, if North Carolina doesn’t beat Pitt tomorrow, ACC will be 83-85-2 in bowl games.
If Boston College, does not beat Southern Cal tomorrow, the ACC will be 83-85-2.
And, if Clemson doesn’t beat Kentucky Sunday, the ACC will be 83-86-2 in bowl games.
The biggest culprit in the ACC of LOSING BOWL GAMES has been in fact, Georgia Tech who has LOST 7 OF THE LAST 10 TECH BOWL GAMES.
You are quoting the combined bowl records of ACC teams, in bowl games. Excuse me, the ACC gets NO DAMN CREDIT for winning a bowl game if the team in question was NOT IN THE STINKING ACC with a LOSING BOWL RECORD.

The team that wins gets bragging rights. Last year the Bugs won. And they got braggin rights.And they had the better team.
This year Dawgs won,had the better team( Tech just beating jax state and Duke and a cream puff schedule does not make you the better team)Beat Tech, and has bragging rights as the best team in the state.
Got a problem with that…there is a simple solution…Win next year.

Who cares how good your recruiting class is when you’ve shown the repeated recent ability to drag them down to playing at a mediocre level? Personally I wouldn’t be bragging about recruiting classes when it just makes your team (and coaching) look bad.
And yeah keep posting the score, it just makes you look even more bitter about your crappy season (and as much of a jerk as the Tech fans who did the same thing all last year).

I know this is about football, but to the indvidual who questioned Tech’s academic credentials, look at the facts. Tech’s entering Freshman class had a 1345 SAT average score last year, more than 100 points higher than Uga’s entering class. Five of Tech’s engineering programs are ranked in the top 5 by US News. From personal experience, my son got admitted during early admissions at Uga this month, and he was deferred at Tech until spring. Don’t tell me that it is harder to get into Uga. Uga had 20,000 applications this fall and is hard to get in due to shear numbers. It is a good school, not in the elite class like Duke, Vandy, Wake, UNC, UVA and Tech. Oh, and we have a pretty good football team too!

Georgia tek is ON PROBATION by the NCAA in men’s basketball with an Academic Progress Rate APR of 914, the LOWEST APR IN THE COUNTRY, limited to only 11 scholarships in men’s basketball.
