Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

The blog will be on hiatus for a week or so over the Christmas Holiday, but shoul be back around Dec. 30.

As a gift to Tech fans, I’ve blocked the score of  a certain something-something from being posted in the commentary section of the blog.

However, I’ll unblock it when I return.

Safe travels, and I hope to see you in Miami.

Doug

If you want to say what you are thankful for, feel free. Spread the love around.

Happy Holidays, may you and your family have a safe one.

And since we probably won’t have another topic prior to 12/27 and the fact that you have blocked a certain score will only egg on the UGA faithful, I have the following comment. May all those traveling to Shreveport have a safe journey and good luck.

I’m thankful for the six fall Saturdays that my dad and I spent watching the Jackets play their hearts out this year. And that special night in Tampa. Love ya dad.

Thanks for the blogs this year Doug.

Dear Santa Morgan,

All I want this Xmas is:

1) Hurries.
2) Sacks.
3) Tackles for loss.

I’ve been a good Tech fan this year, I haven’t missed a home game in three years.

Here’s to you going out in dominating fashion, Mr. Morgan.

Doug, with your reports you have made me revise my thinking. There are actually two good things to come out of Athens – Highway 316 and Doug Roberson.

Best wishes for the holiday season to all except for the crabby dawg fans who come here to poop on our blog.

UGA is so irrelevant.

Doug:

I just want to thank you, as I did earlier in the year, for all the great coverage of the Yellow Jackets you have provided this fall. Your efforts have been outstanding and are greatly appreciated. You have certainly worked to answer most of the questions we have all been thinking. The blog and the features have been terrific. You have told it as it is and while I have no official affiliation with the people that work at Tech, the coaches and sports information people should be pleased too. I hope they will also recognize that in good times and bad times they should make your job as easy as possible by providing and facilitating information and access as much as possible. Best wishes with your career and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

I’m a Dawg fan who was a big fan of CPJ at Navy and still respected the guy as a great coach and person even at Tech…..UNTIL NOW. After hearing him on a radio show with Donnan STILL implying that UGA played dirty trying to twist Nesbitt’s knee or whatever, I’ve lost all respect for the guy. Gees man….get over it. MR would never be whining over a bunch of crap like that. When we get beat, he swallows it and takes it like a man. You lost the freakin game! Don’t make excuses. Dang, Spurrier is a better sport than that!

No offense, Losing Respect, but its probably because he lost respect for a coach and team that tries to take an opponent out of the game… You guys won… I concede that, and its not because of that. We had a chance to beat you in the end, and we didn’t. Still doesn’t mean that hurting Nesbitt didn’t put some fire on the already hateful rivalry.

Everyone have a great holiday.

I don’t know if UGAg tried to hurt Nesbitt or not, but it does remind me of the Joe Hamilton years and the way FSU roughed him up. Football is a tough sport no doubt, but the way FSU hit him late REPEATEDLY in those games made me question the class of a certain Coach Bowden that so many seem to be in love with (especially now that he’s retiring). Did CMR tell his guys to take out Nesbitt? Did Urbane Meyer tell Spikes to gouge an eye? Probably not, but you can’t always control what a player does in the heat of the moment either.

Big fan of Coach Johnson….whining or not. Damn fine coach.

Funny when the AJC has to Block a score.
I don’t recall them(AJC) doing that for the last year when all the Tech fans were on the UGA blog saying a three point win was a blow out, and now the tables had turned. But there was No block there.

Well this is a what I am thankful for:

1) I am thankful for a non censured forum to blog my comments( oh wait Doug got rid of that so it is no longer true)

2) I am thankful that the football world in Georgia is back in balance again.Georgia’s worse team in a decade, beat Tech’s best team in decade.

3) I am thankful that we fired our DC and are looking for a new one ( I would suggest tech do the same)

4) I am thankful for the year of crowing I get to do at my tech buddies expense….yes I still call them friends even if they went to the north avenue trade school. And they laugh and call me leg humper and we still get along, except that one weekend of the year.

5)Thankful that I am working as a VP of Business Development( put that in so some Tech fan would not say “oh he works at Burger King”) when many are not employed and struggling.I hope and pray that this economy improves and we can put this country back to work.

6) And I am thankful for college football. SEC,ACC,Sunbelt….Div II. frankly it is all good.

I hope everyone has a great holidays. You guys included.

the score wasn’t blocked from the ugag blog last year is because Bill Queen is too dumb to figure out how to do that.

I am thankful that I was able to get a degree at one of the greatest engineering institutions that the world has to offer. Without it, I would not have been able to move to one of the most beautiful places in the country (Alaska) and feel like I am on vacation every time I look outside.

If I can ask for one thing on Christmas, it would be for GT to put up some large numbers against Iowa in the Orange Bowl. They’re fans have been really nice so far, but I think that it would be icing on the cake of a great season to win 12 games.

My Georgia Tech is so overrated and overranked. We all know we’d be lucky to break .500 in a major college football conference. Thank goodness our little ACC is on par with the MAC, WAC and Conference USA.

for all you nerds out there that don’t know how to google. here is the link to the supposed “intentional injury to your beloved safety playing qb nesbitt”. No one is even touching his ankle, what a joke. I hope for your sake you don’t act like a sore loser like your gobbler chin coach. Of course you probably know nothing about football, and this is why PJ did this to appeal to his fanbase. He realizes the importance of firing up the nerds as opposed to being honest. Oh well, he will get his…AGAIN next year when your 3 best players leave, we have a better qb, a completely returned OL, the best WR corp in the nation, and an actual DC
