What’s going on in Iowa?

I figured I’d share some of the stories that the fine journalists in Iowa are producing about the Hawkeyes as they prepare to face your Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 5.

It appears QB Ricky Stanzi’s ankle is good to go: http://bit.ly/5PhRYk

Like Georgia Tech, Iowa has a few players who have to decide if they want to leave school for the NFL: http://bit.ly/6JBqVT

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz wants his team to focus on Miami: http://bit.ly/6iCUTg

——-

Tech coach Paul Johnson said he was pleased with the team’s practice on Thursday, which moved to the morning after three days of afternoon practices.

To all you mutts, I was just wondering is the Shreveport game televised this year? Is the game played before all the high school playfoff games? Not trying to be mean, just never heard of this game before. Maybe next year you can get the Blue Field Bowl in Boise,Idaho.

Great Walter – thanks for the facts we know that. Fact – GT is the ACC Champ, fact – they are going to the Orange Bowl. Fact – it is raining outside. What’s your point, this blog was about waht’s going on Iowa, not Shreveport.

Uh, wow Walter – thanks. I was just in Iowa this week for business – they are so super jazzed buying those tickets because there is just so much to do out there. Watch the snow, go to the Wal Mart, stop at Burger King, feed the cows, all very thrilling stuff. We get it – GT does not have a fan base the size of your favorite team – nothing will change that. People don’t suddenly change team alliances. If you are telling me that you’d rather be in the ACC because it’s easier, go talk to Damon. If not, you can stop arguing the point whether people care more about Shreveport or Miami. I’d rather be in Miami and will be.

James, those were two new plays that GT ran against Clemson. A player said they put those in because they noticed that Clemson’s safeties liked to creep toward the line of scrimmage.

Also, a poster who keeps pointing out crime has been banned. I warned yall yesterday.

To All UGA Fans on Tech Blogs:
Don’t worry. One of these days you will also have jobs and won’t have to spend all day in your momma’s basement on her computer posting on Tech sites, since you no one on the UGA sites takes you seriously either. One suggestion: don’t wear your UGA t-shirt to the interview, but do remember to put in your teeth.

Walter – did you ever take a Math class – these blogs get may get a couple hundred hits each. If everyone bought a ticket that came on this blog that would be, let’s see, well a couple hundred tickets sold. I am going, and people on these blogs read the articles that Doug posts because we are fans of Tech. You are talking to the wrong crew here. The guy on the plane next to me from Iowa last night was already going to Miami, connecting through Atlanta, – he had his full gear on (says something about priorities – that’s how much time he has on his hands). I don’t get that luxury, nor do many Tech grads that have a career. We enjoy football but there is a little more to life than that.

My, My have things changed. UGA fans were saying last year how Tech made their season just beating the Bulldogs. This year surely changed that, as all UGA can say is how they beat Tech after twisting the ankle of the QB, do they honestly think they proved anything. Haven’t we heard that one before in other Tech-UGA games how they broke legs, twisted ankles in more than one game.

BuLLDog says that Ugay has 6 National Championships. Not according to al my records. He must be counting all those NCAA WOMAN’S GYMNASTICS titles. The bottom line is THAT THE NEW SHERIFF IS HOLDING COURT, and CPJ’s team IS THE # 1 PROGRAM IN THE STATE. If it wasn’t, idiots like you would not be thumping your boyish boobies and declaring how you WERE GOOD ENOUGH TO UPSET A VERY GOOD TECH TEAM. All the boobie and chest thumping just confirms that Tech is the top team, and since the priority to beat you was lower this season, you escaped with a close 6 point win.

One reason Iowa has sold all of its tickets: Last Wednesday, the day the coaches had a press conference in Florida, there was a 100-degree temperature difference between the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe casino, where the coaches were, and the University of Iowa.

If I were an Iowa resident and I had a chance to get out of that icebox for a while (as pretty as it may be), you can bet I’m taking it.

Oh, and by the way, the game is played on the field, not in the seats. Whether the game is sold out or not is not going to matter to either team. In fact it appears you Ugay morons are the only ones that care. If it bothers you so much, then you can help out by buying tickets and filling it up. The weather is guaranteed to be better in Miami than in SHREVEPORT. I will be laughing when 6-6 A&M adds to the downfall of CMR by waxing the pups in the 2009 WHO CARES,IRREVELENT BOWL that is in existence to let some LOSERS play an extra game. Call CMR and ask him where he would rather be Shreveport or MIAMI. BETCHA I KNOW HIS ANSWER.

Yep Doug- not a whole lot going on in Iowa even in the summer. Anywhere in Florida is always a better option than Iowa City. I was interested to hear there is such a thing as a “Hawkeye Nation”. Must be similar to the dog nation that we hear so much about, but disappears as soon as the team does not win 8-10 games.

bull dykes rock! That’s why we are on this board.

We are here to illustrate that we don’t know what we are talking about.

it really hurts us that we beat Tech and are not playing for the NC.

We bull dykes think we can play for a NC even though we’ll never be able to beat FL (our true rival who owns us). We expect to be ranked in the top 10 even though we rarely win our own divsion. Logical right? I know!

We are intelligent. We are fact based. We are humble. We are the UGAg bull dykes!

We like to choke and gag on our own strap ons too.

Let’s work 80 extra shifts, pool our money together from working at Taco Bell and buy tickets to the OB.

We can root for the Hawks!

We’ll need something fun to do because our toilet bowl game will be long gone and forgotten especially after the Aggies make us choke on our strap ons! Oh wait… that actually sounds like fun! Yum!

It’s great to be a uga bull dyke! We may own Tech, but we are happy with our maximized mediocrity and irrelevance in the mighty SEC!

Hey Buzz,

First off – cool name dude!

I think I get it and so does Tech when you type 30-24.

For everytime you type 30-24 – it represents one minute of time you enjoy getting choked by willie’s autographed red and black strap on stamped with a 30-24!

Good job! You must be the current champion. Exit stage left and pick up your trophy from rosie o’donnell.

oh and rosanne barr is hiding under your bed so get ready to be jack hammered again tonight.

UGA is kind of like pre-school: People running around repeating the same thing over and over again, like those stupid Barney songs. If everyone would just ignore the children, we could talk about how the slow Big 10 defense in Iowa will be no match for the PJ spread option.
