Couple of bits of information

It appears that special teams coordinator and A-backs coach Jeff Monken will help coach Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl.

Monken recently accepted the head coaching position at Georgia Southern. He and the university held a press conference yesterday. It appears he may be splitting some time between Statesboro. The story on Southern’s website said that he has begun his duties for the Eagles.

Item No. 2:

There’s going to be another Georgia Tech golfer on the PGA Tour: Cameron Tringale. He tied for 19th place at the tour Qualifying School with a 10-under par 422. He went 8-under in the event’s last two rounds.

He will join alumni Stewart Cink, Matt Kuchar, Troy Matteson, Bryce Molder and Nicholas Thompson (123rd) on the Tour in 2010.

I’m still confused. How exactly is Johnson the “new sheriff in town” after he just lost at home, with 2 weeks to prepare, against one of the weakest UGA teams in years WITHOUT their best player being on the field?

Dave from GT,

Yes, UGA will surely have some losses going into the last game of the season. That’s what happens when you play in the best conference in the nation. Luckily we’ll have our old reliable punching bag from the trade school to beat on like we usually do going into bowl season.

Hey tbone,

It’s rather convenient in your list of stats comparing BeBe “stonehands” Thomas to the best receiver in the nation, you left out games played. Stonehands has played 4 more games than Green, not to mention 2 of Green’s 9 games he left early with injury. So while I’m sure Green is appreciative that a delusional Tech fan says he’s “good,” I’m sure when he’s the top receiver drafted next year that will be all the evidence anyone will need to know how much of a moron you are.

Thanks for playing

Yep, nothing like reading the University of Georgia fans being jealous of our superior pigskin program. Maybe you noticed, but our 3 point kicker is better than yours. Our wideout receivers are better than yours and even our halfbacks are better than yours. Our thrower of the ball will be back next year while yours is graduating and leaving the university of Georgia. So who is top dog now?

You know, let’s put all these comments by you idiots (I’m not talking about you classy GT Posters) in perspective. UGA is a Football Factory that produces football players/thugs…..GIT is an Engineering School that has a football team, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always produces graduates that helps put men/women in space, among other engineering feats…..now which is more revelant in the society in which we live? Most of you have way, way too much time on your hands.

It is because of these short comings that I get on hear and make fun of your team. To be quite honest I’ve never even been to a Ga game, and couldn’t tell you how to get to Athens. Please be patient as I have to much free time in my mother’s basement, where I have lived since I droipped out of high school to work at the local car wash.

SEC Logic

December 9th, 2009
12:38 pm

SEC homer logic tells us that since GT and Clemson lose to mediocre SEC teams, UGA and South Carolina would win the ACC right?

But Tennessee lost to UCLA, one of the worst teams in the PAC-10, and UGA got creamed by Tennessee. What does that say about UGA? They couldn’t hack it in the PAC-10?

Alabama, last year’s SEC runner-up, lost to Utah in their bowl game. Does that mean the best teams in the SEC couldn’t hack it in the Mountain West?

LSU, who also beat UGA, needed a 2nd half comeback to beat Louisiana Tech by only 8 points. Does that mean all ranked SEC teams would struggle with sub .500 WAC teams?

bawahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

December 9th, 2009

So Tech is an “engineering school” (with a Humanities Department) yet less than 2% of ALL their football, basketball and baseball players DO NOT major in any sort of engineering. Imagine that, another lying Tech fan

UGA Girls are Dawgs

December 9th, 2009

I heard that some SEC schools want UGA thrown out of the conference, and replaced by a more competitive (athletically) and more accomplished (academically) program. Maybe UGA can join Notre Dame as independents – there’s an analogy for you – both overhyped and underperforming schools, although ND at least has some basic academic standards. Maybe Mark Richt can coach both of them!!

There are only two good teams in the SEC and UGag ain’t one of them. We admit that our defense at Tech couldn’t stop a jar of Molasses on a cold winter morning. Even weak teams like UGag put 30 points on us. If our defense where even at 50% of the level our offense is, we would be undefeated. However 3 of the four D-Line starters from last year are now playing in the NFL (Walker-Falcons, Richards-Patriots, Johnson-Bengals), I would rather be playing in the Orange bowl at 11-2 than playing in the self-propelled Lawnmower bowl at 7-5.

Actually, as reported by the AJC, Tech was ranked #1 among Athletes in the nation with the highest SAT scores coming into Tech. However UGA was ranked the #2 party school behind Florida. UGA has had many, many arrested athletes, most charged with underage drinking and traffic offenses. Google the AJC archives and count them.

Their was once a famous basketball player at UGag named Tony. After he raped a girl on campus, because the media found out he was pressured into leaving. So he told the NCAA about his false grades giving to him the the head basketball coach, This led to ann NCAA investigation and test questing being shown on ESPN. What a disgrace after the Jan Kemp scandal. Mark Richt is a Saint among a school with a long history of NCAA probation, arrested players, drunks, and pot smokers.

3. Georgia (Tied with 9 others schools with 6)

Florida State is among the top cheaters as is Miami, but all probations were BEFORE they became an ACC school.

Tell another lie you idiot. Look it up, University of Ghetto Academics. The biggest scandal of all time was when Professor Jan Kemp was fired for blowing the whistle on UGag, This was talked about for many years and there was another big story in the AJC after Mrs. Kemp passed away a year or so ago. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the American academic (1949-2008). For the Boer war general (1872-1946), see Jan Kemp (South African).
Jan Kemp (1949 – December 4, 2008) was an American academic and English tutor who exposed the bias in passing college football players and filed a lawsuit against the University of Georgia.
Born in Griffin, Georgia Kemp earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a doctorate in English education. She began teaching at the University of Georgia in 1978. In 1981 Kemp was one of the teachers who complained claiming that Georgia officials had intervened allowing nine college football players to pass the remedial English course, allowing them to play against Pittsburgh in the Sugar Bowl.
Kemp was demoted in 1982 and dismissed one year later. She then filed a lawsuit claiming she had been fired due to her complaints about the passing of players. During the time after she was dismissed Kemp tried to commit suicide twice. The University defended its actions saying that Kemp was dismissed for “disruptive conduct and for failure to conduct adequate scholarly research”.[1]
The jury found the University guilty for the illegal dismissal of Dr. Kemp and she was awarded $2.5 Million, which was later reduced to $1.08 Million. Kemp was reinstated and University President Dr. Fred C. Davison resigned. After the trial Kemp spoke to The New York Times saying “All over the country, athletes are used to produce revenue. I’ve seen what happens when the lights dim and the crowd fades. They’re left with nothing. I want that stopped”. Kemp retired from teaching in 1990 and was named a hero of the 1980’s by People magazine.
Kemp died on December 4, 2008 at the age of 59. Her son stated the cause of death was due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her son and daughter.[2]
