Paul Johnson and volleyball

A few weeks ago, as Georgia Tech’s volleyball team was on the verge of potentially missing out on at-large berth to the NCAA tournament after losses to Miami and Florida State, coach Tonya Johnson asked Paul Johnson to come talk to her women.

He not only came and spoke, he provided them with a little motivation with a sack of marbles.

He gave each player a marble and told them to keep it because they were playing for all the marbles.

Johnson said before each game they take the marbles from the girls, and then give them back after the game.

They are 3-0 since and will play Baylor in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday in Los Angeles.

Wait, wait, let me get this straight. The Joke by Coke was ranked 7th in the nation, had two weeks to prepare, playing at home, even cheated by blaring their ghetto thug-rap music every time UGA had the ball, and didn’t even have to face the best player in the stadium but still LOST!?!??! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Oh no!!! Don’t punch me in the face!!! LOL.

GA Tech Insider

December 3rd, 2009

I’m hoping recruits, and their parents, are taking the time to read these blogs and see what several UGA have nothing better to do than to support their own, especially when they have been playing so poorly they have just fired three long standing coaches; three long standing coaches that Head Coach Mark Richt has promised these recruits, to their faces, he wasn’t going to fire I might add.

Georgia hasn’t beaten Florida in umpteen years; they’re getting beaten by Alabama and LSU regularly, Tennessee and Auburn are on the rise while the Bulldogs have stagnated.

The game was almost a week ago; the Georgia Bulldogs won 7 games all season and are in line for a Bowl game in Shreveport, Louisiana, and just because they beat the Yellow Jackets this one game, a game they have been saying for these past several years hasn’t mattered to them, these children have come out of the woodwork, spewing their venom.

This type of immaturity, coming onto a blog, talking trash about GA Tech, and their Head Football Coach offering motivation to the GA Tech Women’s volleyball team as they tried to make the NCAA Tournament…Is this the type of fan you want to subject yourself, and your families, to for the next three to five years?

We're in big trouble

I’m really worried about what is becoming of UGA. Just when it looked like we were about to take the upperhand in the rivalry, we get stomped. Now their entire OL returns next season along with the 2 RBs that ran for over 300 yards against us. Aaron Murray (their star QB in waiting) is for real…I’ve seen him play. He doesn’t have Stafford’s arm, but he’s more accurate and is alot more mobile. Now they’re probably gonna get Dick Bumpas from TCU or some other star D coordinator to come in and turn their D into a monster. I’m telling ya fellow Tech fans…PJ better start recruiting some star players like Dwyer and getting these guys in shape or we’ve got some dark days coming as far as state dominance. UGA has already started a 50 bazillion dollar expansion of their weightroom and facilities which will help their recruiting even more, as if it isn’t already strong. I don’t mean to sound like a pescimist here, but am I the only one worried that we’re about to really lose our grip on things?

If anyone has not taken notice, you will take note that there are many Muttlanders on this blog, posing as Tech folks. You can tell who they are readily.

Let’s see now, Muttland won one game in the ACC, but Tech won two in the SEC.

buzznsc113, Tech is so bad in hoops they couldn’t even make the Big 10/ACC Challenge. Don’t you losers claim to be a basketball school? Because as we all witnessed Saturday night, you’re definitely no football school :)

No not really. Their still UGA. They’ll always be second rate people with second rate degrees (if they ever attend or graduate UGA) and legends in their own minds.

What I’m worried about for them is that more and more of their fans are going to take dumps in the middle of their North Campus, and the whole place will be condemned.

TDone,

It’s sad Tech fans, along with their coach, are forced to brag about wins over the cellar dwellers in the SEC. In reality, Johnson is 1-2 vs. bowl eligible SEC teams.

Unfortunately GTInsider, these recruits are looking at UGA, and they are STICKING with UGA! We lost the chance to make a statement! We should have taken care of business and beaten a terribly average 6 and 5 UGA team.. Well, we didn’t and now we have to man up and take the ribbing another year….. It’s NO different than some of the MORONS that call themselves GT fans, that have been trash talking after our 3 point win last year. The facts that you spew about UGA not beating UF, UT, are even more salt in our wound… Let’s face it, were not as good as we thought. Hopefully, this will change with some good recruiting. But hey, it’s time to man up and take the heat from the other side, we sure did make our own bed, it’s time to lay in it….

Tech is more relevant in football now in the ACC than basketball, and that’s not a compliment. Dead last in the conference last year? When will the coach get fired? Your one-and-dones are a joke.

You will never UGA lay claim to being good in basketball….however recently, especially in theor really bad years in football, techies sing the praises of their basketball team!

That is a joke also….I do believe UGA and the techies have the same number of national championships in basket ball and the same number of final appearances!!

Am I wrong?

Want to talk baseball? We have a national championship in baseball….do the nerds?
I do know the tech asst. football coaches and the baseball player have contacts if anyone needs some good cronic or herione!!!

“One game does not a season make…”

Your players have rings that suggest otherwise clown.

Typical loser mentality. Tech fans are like the little snot nosed punks on the block who never won any after school games and cry “we didn’t care anyway” as they run home to mommy.

Fine. Don’t care. We’d be more than happy to make it another 7 in a row. You know, since you don’t care so much.

Have fun watching a team that beat your overrated crempuff arses play in Shreveport. Heck, we might even lose. That would really make your boys look good wouldn’t it? I suspect our defense will face more resistence than your sissy players could muster. Tech players should be careful walking outdoors when its windy. They might get injured!!! LOL.

Keep running those big mouths Tech fans. That has always worked so well for you in the past. Great strategy.

The ACC team that finished last in the conference in basketball, the previous year, sits out the current year ACC/Big Ten challenge. That was us. No one (ie GT fans) claim we were good last year. We weren’t. That is why, though, we weren’t in the tourney this year. That does NOT mean we are not good this year – we are.
