I have a note about this in tomorrow’s paper, but the loser of the ACC championship game could fall all the way to the Music City Bowl.
I’ll save the details for the print story (which I hope you read), but should the Jackets lose to Clemson, and fall to Nashville, will you go back to Music City for the second time this year?

Also curious to get your thoughts on C.J. Spiller winning both the player of the year, and the offensive player of the year. Seems odd to me that one player can win both, but I don’t make up the rules. Not saying he’s not deserving, but it should be one or the other.
It should be pointed out that he ws second-team running back, and first-team specialist.
I wasn’t surprised that Nesbitt finished second, but I did think he would receive more votes.

Wow, UGA fans really are obsessed. At first they didn’t even care about tech…now they’re on our blogs attempting to taunt us. But every attempt to get us angry shows one thing: they’re ecstatic about winning to us.
Saint Simon: If you say Georgia Tech sucks, why bother posting here? We shouldn’t even be acknowledged right? I think that game just made your guys’ season. It’s okay to be mediocre as long as you beat GT. You guys will actually remember this as a good season purely because of this win.
Hahaha…admit it, we’re no longer your “little brother” anymore. Now beating us is actually a grand achievement.

Donutdawg here, wanted to let everyone know where I was today. Had to run down to Milledgeville, sign papers, don’t ask what for, but was able to pick up my dozen so I’m good..cousin Bubba offered me a treadmill he was throwin out but what good would that be, I can hang my clothes on the elyptical just fine. This is a blatantly false blog article. There is no scenario where GT will fall to the Music City Bowl. First and foremost they would have to lose to Clemson to get it rolling. Then they would have to pass on the Gator Bowl which is assuming VT goes to the Chic Bowl as indicated they will accept. Then they would have to pass on the Champs Bowl.
Notice nowhere is there any mention of the Music City Bowl. Why? Simple. The other bowls can’t select a team more than one position away from the team that qualifys for said bowl. It is in their ACC contract. A team has the option of passing (not the bowl) should that team be available. This is exactly why FSU does not qualify for the Gator Bowl unless all eligible teams above them also pass on the Gator. Thus any ACC team with 4 wins or better is in line for the Gator bowl before FSU. A 3 loss GT at worst is not falling past the Champs Bowl.
I will go you one better. The ACC is already in the works with several conferences and bowl tie-ins to land GT outside the ACC bowls should they lose to Clemson. The Cotton Bowl is one I know for a fact especialy if Nebraska upsets Texas.

To confirm what battleax asked about, it IS true about Tommy Harris, the kicker from Armuchee. He has a great leg (kicked 3 from over 52 this year and a game winning 50+ last year). Great kid but needs to get a 22-25 ACT to qualify. Comes from a great family. Only wish he were headed to Athens!

ESPN and SI are reporting that in the actual signed contract, the Gator Bowl has a clause where the ACCCG loser does not have to be considered under the 1 loss differential rule. Apparently, that’s only in the ACC media guide. Haven’t seen the actual contracts and such, but that’s what they are reporting. The actual contract says that the Gator does not have to take the ACCCG loser. Not a lawyer but I guess either that simple statement negates the 1 loss rule or the 1 loss rule was never actually signed in a contract. That’s dumb…really dumb. UGA dumb.

Can anyone explain to me how Tech OR Clemson fall below the 3rd pick Gator Bowl when yes, one will be the ACCCG loser but will at the same time still have 2 games over FSU? Is this an “AND” – “OR” argument? Really ACCCG loser or not, 3 teams still have a +2 differential over FSU.

It seems that UGA fans follow the ACC more than the SEC but they forget that Tech beat Mississippi State (which beat Ole Miss) and also had a much easier time with Vanderbilt than the Dawgs did. I believe that Tech will play in the Orange Bowl and if Georgia plays in the Chick-fil-a Bowl that’s fine tool

Tech plays in A-She-She Championship Bowl… It was announced today that even after the two best teams in The A-She-She were humiliated by 5 loss SEC teams he Championship game will be held. Loss of interest has caused the sponsors to offer free hot dogs and cokes to anyone who’ll buy a ticket.. It is expected that Clemson will dominate Ga Tech this week due to the slow process of digging their Defensive line and linebackers out of the dirt
Tech is expeced to fall to the music city bowl and lose there also. There are no more patsies on their schedule.

The BSC has deemed the Tech / uga game as a “No Harm / No Foul” game. Tech was hand slapped and moved back only three spots to remain in the nation’s top 10. The dawg are being rewarded with an awesome trip to Shreveport. Uga was not able to fool the nation and the BCS based on one lucky night of football. Sorry dawgs, you actually impress the fans by playing good football all year long. You’re not fooling anyone.

Spiller won cause he got the headlines. People don’t like Tech, don’t like Paul Johnson, and don’t like our offense, so we never got the press we deserved.
Nesbitt and Dwyer have better stats in my mind, and either should have beaten Spiller. He is good no doubt, but a guy that can run 30 mph should have more yards than that! Hopefully he won’t get them this weekend!!
