I personally vote for an 8 team playoff, with 6 Conference Champions and 2 at-large bids (from conferences other than the 6, or independents). That way, each conference could just concentrate on its own affairs. If you wanted get to the playoffs ... you'd have to win your conference first ... period. Sure, there would still be politics over who the 2 at-large bids were extended to, but it would be alot less politics than we have with the BCS.

T'ville,
Are you talking about the 2004 Auburn Tigers? That was a really good team. Playing Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, and Citadel might have hurt their chances in the national concept. I have no doubt that Auburn would have given Southern Cal a much better game than Oklahoma did (55-19). It's also possible that the 2003 loss to Southern Cal in the first game of the season (23-0) might have played a factor as well. Maybe not. Losing the following week to GT (17-3) shows how smart it was to swap USC and GT for Lou-Mo and Cit in 2004. Or was it?

BuLLdawg,

If the ACC is so bad, why did UGA go to FSU to get its head coach?

It's typical of your level of education that you can't even spell "dog" correctly.

Last year, the ACC won 6 of 10 games against the SEC.

The ACC had more players drafted by the NFL for the 3 year period 2006-8 by the NFL than any other conference including the # 1, 2, & 3 picks: Mario West, Calvin Johnson, & Matt Ryan.

Tech's record against the SEC for 2008-9 now stands at 4-1.

So this proves that not only can't mutts spell, they also can't count.

Tech has more National Championships than Georgia. The only consensus NC between the two schools if you take all the ranking authorities into account was GT 1917.

GT 45 UGA 42!!

TRASH TALKING DAWGS WHO TRY TO MOCK,

WILL BE STUNG BY ME, STINGDOC!!

T'ville Dawg, maybe you should stay in the ugay story comments. I think that its funny when those nasty, saggy skinned, drooling, stinking dogs are loosing they come and try to bring down the Tech blogs and articles. You all should with the other farmers and trailer park trash, or maybe you can go back to your school and learn about irrigation or turf grass, I really don't care, but you might not want to come to Atlanta this year because your not going to like what you see and your fairweather fans will be clearing out of the stadium like they did last year. The only people left in that stadium were the ones too drunk to know who was winning, so they cheered every time Tech scored.

Tech has a good year finally and they act like they did something unprecedented.Auburn had one of the finest teams on both sides of the ball when Ronny Brown and company graduated and still didn't play for the title, believe they won every game that year too. When Tech has five players go in the first round of the NFL draft then run your mouth, otherwise shut up and stop your boo-hooing BRATS ON THE FLATS!

bigdawg, I think your wrong about that, ugay is trash. Your puppies are dead last in penalties again this year. I think were starting to see a trend. Maybe that moron deserved to get his eyes poked out against Florida. I bet aj green will catch the first bus to the NFL when he gets the chance.
Speaking of trash, richt seems to be at the top of the recruiting classes every year, yet his teams are getting progressively worse. Maybe if he looked at getting good quality players that don't have a record, you might have a team that actually cares about ugay... Doubtful

BuLLdawg, maybe you should look at your facts before posting them, instead of thinking that if you post something extremely long and dull everyone will skip it and agree. The Grant name associated with the stadium is named after John W. Grant, a member of the board of trustees, who gave an initial $15,000 to help construction on the field in 1913.

Not to mention, you put a lot of facts up there that mean absolutely nothing. I don't care what the SEC's or ACC's record is against any certain type of opponent, I just want to see Tech keep winning. I bet when ugay gets beat on the 28th, morons like you won't be coming into Georgia Tech stories and talking trash, unless its about how bad Bobo is or how the refirees were against you.
