Earlier in the day, I posted a bunch of game-after quotes, the lazy-man’s blog.
However, that was before Clemson defeated Miami in Miami. Now, Georgia Tech needs to only win its two remaining ACC games, against Wake Forest and Duke, no less, and it’s headed to Tampa to play for the ACC title.
Who would they play, you ask? Right now, it would be a rematch against the Tigers. Clemson and BC are tied atop the Atlantic, but the Tigers have the tie-breaker thanks to the beatdown they administered to the Eagles earlier this year. Remember that one? BC had 54 yards, I think, in the game.
I think of all the teams from the Atlantic that Tech would not want to play, Clemson would be at the top of that list. The Tigers seem to have gotten things figured out on offense now, and freshman quarterback Kyle Parker, for all the mistakes he made against Miami, still led the the Tigers to the win in a tough place to play.
Plus, the Tigers have the experience of already playing Tech’s offense once this season. Of course, CPJ has the experience of playing them, as well.
———–
Now, back to what I had earlier:
Georgia Tech Player Quotes
Junior Running Back Anthony Allen
On winning in Charlottesville for the first time since 1990:
“Coach gives us all the motivation we had a lot of firsts this year and this has to be one of the biggest ones.”
On wearing down the Virginia defense:
“When we had that 11 minute drive as A-backs, we are rolling in and out.
We are staying fresh as we’re coming in looking at the lineman across from us. That dog tired. We knew we had them right then.”
On the difference makers between this season and last season:
“We are just playing as a team. We are trying to finish. We are practicing hard, getting ready for our games better we are just playing as a team a lot better this year.”
On the effectiveness of the triple option:
“I was just going to my assignments, but with the triple option they have to stop three valuable assets to the game they have to stop the dive, they have to stop the quarterback, and they have to stop the pitch. Sometimes you can tell that they get weary going to stop one part while they are trying to get to another part.”
On the success of the pitch:
“With the 3-4 defense that they run, they have the second man on line which is usually the guy we pitch off of and he was coming up and trying to play the pitch and the quarterback, but he had to determine which one he wanted.
“He was taking the quarterback and then sometimes he couldn’t get out.”
On the significance of the win:
“We came into the locker room at halftime and we knew we were playing for the championship. We were playing to go into first place. We had to come out in the second half and take it home. We had to play smash-mouth football and that’s what we did.”
Georgia Tech Head Coach Paul Johnson
On the win:
“That was a good win. We didn’t play very well in the first half and you have to give Virginia some credit. They showed up and played hard. I thought we played much better in the second half. We controlled the game on offense, and once we got in the red zone on defense, not to give up a touchdown was big. As long as you do that, you’re going to win a lot of football games.”
On Georgia Tech’s defense:
“We didn’t give up any big plays and that was key. If you don’t give up a big play, you have the chance to snap it again and make another play on defense. When you hold them to nine points, that’s pretty good.”
On Georgia Tech quarterback Josh Nesbitt:
“He’s way better now than he was a year ago. The more you do things, the better you’re going to get at them. I think the game has slowed down for him. Last year, the game was so fast for him. He has a better feel for what is going on.”
On the Georgia Tech team:
“They believe in themselves and what we are doing here. They’ve worked hard.
When they come to play, they feel like they are going to win. Everyone keeps doubting them, and they keep coming back and trying to answer the call.”
On winning at Virginia for the first time since 1990:
“I talked to them about it before the game. I told them that Georgia Tech hadn’t won here since 1990, and that they could be the team to break that streak.”
Junior Running Back Jonathan Dwyer
On field conditions and effects:
“I wouldn’t say it was difficult to cut. It was difficult to burst felt like you had 20-pound weights on your feet. That was kind of unusual. I wasn’t used to that since high school.”
On intensity:
“I guess a lot of guys on the team were challenging me to go full speed and go all out throughout this whole game and take every opportunity that’s given to me. I was trying to make a play to get the team fired up.”
On breaking tackles:
“My position coach [Brian] Bohannon keep telling me on the head set, ‘Keep plugging, keep plugging. You’re going to break one sooner or later. So just keep playing.’ That was my mindset throughout the whole game.”

Great job of grinding out the win in the 2nd half. The TV announcers started talking about how deflated the VA players looked, and I gotta admit it was quite satisfying. Add that Dwyer “locomotive” run over the VA player for 7 extra yards to the season’s highlight reel. Go Jackets!!

We’re in control of our destiny, but don’t think we’re a lock on the ACC title game just yet. I guarantee you that CPJ will not let the team think like that. Keep in mind that the Dukies have only one loss in the conference, and we still have to play them. Should we beat them? Absolutely … but what we SHOULD do has no bearing on the results of the game. After all, Miami SHOULD have beat Clemson.
Let’s focus on one game at a time, making sure that we STAY in control of our destiny. Go Jackets!

We can certainly enjoy the big win today, and give a good “Atta Boy” to Clemson. However, we have to stay focused and finish the mission. CPJ has things under control and our team looks better each time they play. Our defense was really tough today, and considering the monsoon rains our offense did a great job too. There is still room for improvement, but this sure feels good to be on the winning side every week! Go Jackets!

guys please give me some credit on here..before Miss St game, I was on blog stating even with a FSU and VT win, we would need Miami to lose one..and last week after VT win, I stated on these blogs that Clemson could beast Miami. Yes I know we have two games to go and I will be at both but I’m telling you Tech fans to PLEASE PLEASE support this coach and this team by making the trip to Tampa. The Clemson fan base is enormous and the Tigers have never played for an ACC title game. Their fans will do everything to take over that stadium in Tampa and try to make it their home field especially since we have beat them 4 straight years…talk about wanting revenge. CPJ and the team deserve our all the respect and support. They have done everything we fans have ask them to do. And when we all cried and cursed the Defense, they stepped up. Now we need to support them like never before. Treat Tampa as if it is the Orange Bowl and make your plans now.

Congratulations, Tech, on another impressive win. It looks like the Miami loss was actually good for your team, to remind them that they have to prepare for every game, take nothing for granted, and finish assignments. Another monkey is off your back, this time the semi-annual loss in Charlottesville.
To “bugsquacher”: your annual Florida beatdown is coming. You know it. You just can’t do anything about it. That is why you try to belittle Tech, to make you feel better. They have less talent than what Georgia recruits but are able to “engineer” victories. Now if you want to talk smack with the Gators, go ahead. Thanks to Clemson we can go to Tampa if we win out. However, the opponent there may be Clemson who is still steaming about their loss in September. So we better calm down a bit hope that our defense keeps improving.

Do you realize that there are only two teams in the country (Iowa and Alabama) that have won more games than the Jackets this season?! I was optimistic before the season … but who would’da thunk it? I know there are still more games to play, but I also know that our toughest opponents (at least on paper) are already behind us. If we can avoid stupid mistakes (turnovers, penalties, etc), then we have a very realistic chance of finishing the regular season with a record of 11-1 … exceptional! Another win over Clemson (or whomever the Atlantic champion might be) would have us going to a BCS bowl with a record of 12-1. IF we could win that game too, then this team could do something that no Tech team has ever done … win 13 games in a single season! I believe the next couple of months are going to be lots of fun!

Well, my friends, I think I mentioned that Paul Johnson and the boys had a great week of practice and wanted some “Hoos” for lunch yesterday! I guess you can imagine it was a rather fun flight back from Charlottesville.
If you think Vandy’s going to be taken for granted; the coaches are already in the film room breaking down their team this morning.
The mantra for Paul is that this coming weekend’s game is the most important game of the year, and yesterday’s game is history. He’ll find enough that went wrong to be able to keep coaching the boys up, I can assure you. I can also tell you, that the team has really bought into what Coach Johnson and the staff are preaching; they’ve come to realize that when the coaching staff’s not satisfied, and they have found things that can be improved upon, they are really taking it to heart. I think you can see it start to play out on the field.
Finally, a couple of comments on the Georgia fans on this blog. To those UGA fans who have made the comments of congratulations – you show a lot of class for yourself and for the program you support. I know that it’s hard recognize a rival sometimes, and the fact that you’ve done so is quite commendable and makes for us to have a great game come this November without the nastiness between the fans. On the other hand, we see some other Bulldog fans on here who, I guess, are so bitter that their own team is doing so poorly that it makes them feel better by trying to hurl insults at their rivals’ fans.
Obviously, their juvenile antics are not going to change the outcome of any game, and all that they’re going to accomplish is to provoke similar responses from the GA Tech faithful in return which, I might add, will also have no affect on the outcome of any game.
With these two sets of children playing paddy cake on the blogs, normal sports enthusiasts who are interested in actually discussing games, etc. are left with sifting through their babble to get to the actual discussions that were the intended purpose of the lead of the blog. If you think about it, it’s almost comical how these children are allowed to hijack these blogs from the AJC writers. It’s like lunatics running the insane asylum.

yes, you have noticed i’m a little obsessive/complusive….a bit of a retard.
I am prone to hours of research to produce meaningless stats to post on blogs where no one cares.
While I try to point out GT is inferior to Ugay, i’m clearly obsessed with GT and its program.
Because my football program is spiraling towards mediocrity, I must find other things to focus on.
I am unable to deal with the fact that CPJ is one of the best coaches in the nation, better than any other college football coach in the state of Georgia.
I will now go do some further research on the merits of preseason national titles and how UGAy has more than GT.

Nice for Tech to finally be able to control their destiny. Thanks Clemson. The fact that GT is near a championiship of any kind so soon after Chan was shown the door is pretty remarkable. Are there any doubters that the Flexbone can be successful at this level now ? What idiot at Georgia Southern decided it was time to can this offense ? The Eagles haven’t sniffed the playoffs since.
Playing in the ACCCG looks likely, not just possible. A top tier bowl is well within reach. The Dawgs are by far the most talented team left on the schedule. Good thing the Jackets have the open week before the game this year. The Jackets need the time to work on covering A.J. Green. A loss to someone else is very possible, but I doubt CPJ will allow that kind of letdown to occur.
Looking at the national picture and schedules of top ten teams, any significant move up in the polls looks very difficult. There’s a good chance there will be a gaggle of undefeated teams after the regular season and the BCS arguments will be as loud as ever. Nonetheless, 7-1 in year two of a new system with a young team is pretty incredible !

Tech is having a great season and my Dawgs are having a lousy season. Give the Jackets credit, it will not kill you or give you a rash that calamine lotion cannot cure. This Dawg fan has no problem saying Go Jackets. I know the Jacket fan base will give me a pass on that Thanksgiving weekend. I am really looking forward to that game as the in-game blogging base will get close to double. That should be fun. Most of you know that I have been pulling for my in-state team all year. In a little bit I will be at church congratulating my friend who attended the Institue when I was at UGA. He is a great guy and I am happy for him and the Tech fanbase. It has been a long time coming which makes it even more sweet.
Tech’s D has to play as well the rest of the way as they did versus UVA. The D graded out as a 15 on my league numbers. Keep that up and with your offense, you will be fine.
For those interested in Baylie’s condition google KT syndrome. That will give you a description of the disorder. On a scale of 1-10 of the disorder she has a 9 with some change. That is what her Doctor at the Mayo Clinic said, not just a worried Dad. She is cheerful and has a personality that draws people to her. She rarely makes school but is on of the school favorites. Bless Clemson’s heart– for now! The REAL key to Tech is more that our defense has begun to find itself. The Golden Option is old fashion, but you cannot argue with its overall success—> a record of 16-5 so far in two seasons at Georgia Tech with wins over the Mutts, Va. Tech, FSU (twice) and UVA up there. Clearly it can be derailed (LSU and Miami), but that is easier said than done. Paul Johnson notes that he is anxious to sign some OL best suited for the scheme… to their credit, most current Jacket starters signed expecting Gailey’s pro-style offense, but Dwyer, Nesbitt, etc., have adapted well. I have noticed that Bob Davies and other former coaches keep marveling at the offense, although idiot gadfly Lee Corso had presaged a UVA upset victory..
The Mutts seem really to be struggling on defense– I like our odds of taking them again on God’s Field/Hallowed Ground. I see a Top 10 finish.

Cuz, Here’s a story for you. The date: Jan. 2, 1991 – I was in a waiting room outside the delivery room at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Augusta. My first-born, a daughter had just been delivered and was immediately transported to the MCG NICU. We didn’t know it at the time, but she was born with Pierre-Robin Syndrome and had congenital heart defects as well. My family and I were in shock. One of the things that brought us out of shock was a family member breaking the tension by announcing, “the UPI just voted Georgia Tech National Champs”. Despite all the tension, my grandfather (now deceased), a lifelong Tech fan let out a HUGE grin. It was a needed diversion.
To make a loooong story short, she had open heart surgery at two days old. Later she would require 15 surgeries, including two more heart surgeries. She has been touch and go numerous times. Never underestimate the power of prayer.
My daughter is now 18 years old and was elected Homecoming Queen by her senior classmates a few weeks ago. She also recently got a hug from CPJ after the win in Tallahassee. CPJ was an assistant at Georgia Southern when I was there working for Erk, back in the 80’s. She’s a big Jacket fan, but she also slips with my in-laws every now and then and pulls for the Dawgs. I let it slide. Sometimes things have to be put in perspective.
Hang in there my man. It’ll all work out.

ACC has only 3 teams ranked, and the best is Miami of Florida who plays no one the rest of the year. Georgia Tech LOST to Miami of Florida 17-33.
Miami of Florida is in the BCS Bowl, and Georgia Tech relegated to the Gator Bowl. Give me a break Tech Nerds are in here saying that Miami of Florida is going to lose a game coming up. Who ? BCS Number 51 Climpsum Farmers ? BCS Number 60 Weak Forest ? BCS Number 65 Hapless Virginia ? BCS Number 51 North Carolina ? BCS Number 76 worthless little Duke Dukies ? To end the season, Miami of Florida plays 3-loss Southern Florida, whatever that is, who will have Losses to Cincinnati, Pittsburg, and West Virginia, possibly also losses to Rutgers and UCONN. What a soft schedule and long shot to hope 1 of these teams beats Miami of Florida when they LAMBASTED the Number 13 AP Poll Georgia Tech 33-17. Get real these CUPCAKES will do what you Georgia Tech could not.
Not that it matters, because no one from Georgia Tech will go. Georgia Tech is the very worst school in the Southeast in traveling well.
Jeff Schultz can write all he wants, and the facts will REMAIN the SAME. Georgia Tech is NOT going to a BCS Bowl. Miami of Florida plays NO ONE. There is NOT a team in the Top 25 remaining for Miami of Florida to play, not 1. There is not a team in the Top 50 remaining for Miami of Florida to play, not 1.
Never mind that Georgia Tech has an even softer easier schedule than Miami of Florida. Georgia Tech has games against NO ONE, except for UGA to end the season. By then, Miami will face off against hapless Boston College who has an even softer schedule than Miami of Florida and Georgia Tech.
ACC.
Bunch of junk.
Has been.
Is.
Will be.
Weak Forest, Maryland and Duke all 3 have the 3 softest schedules of any BCS school in America : SoS # 83, #84 and # 85 in the country. This is because there is NO top ACC team. Never has been. Never will be. And, certainly is NOT.
As the announcers said on the TV game of Georgia Tech Saturday night, it is BAD for the ACC that Virginia Tech lost.
10 AP Poll Number 10 Miami of Florida BEAT Georgia Tech 33-17.
13 AP Poll Number 13 Georgia Tech LOST to Miami of Florida no one there.
15 AP Poll Number 15 Virginia Tech blown out by Alabama, lost to Ga Tech, also not even a sell-out.
In the Atlantic Division, there is NO RANKED TEAM.
CUPCAKES PLAYING CUPCAKES.
Whichever Coastal team goes to the ACC Chumpionship Game, plays yet ANOTHER CUPCAKE.
Georgia Tech plays Georgia.
Georgia Tech knows NOTHING about the PASS, not on Offense, and NOT on Defense either.
114 Ga Tech # 114 Passing Offense.
108 Ga Tech # 108 Passing Efficiency Defense.
78 Ga Tech # 78 Total Defense misses Jon Tenuta against soft schedule.
68 Ga Tech # 68 Rushing Defense.
79 Ga Tech # 79 Kick-off Returning team.
72 Ga Tech # 72 Scoring Defense.
60 Ga Tech # 60 Net Punting.
86 Ga Tech # 86 Pass Defense.
70 Ga Tech # 70 Sacking opposing quarterbacks.
91 Ga Tech # 91 Tackling for a Loss.
ACC does NOT compete nationally. And, Jeff Schultz writes an article of how Georgia Tech is going to win a National Championship. That would be a 1st since Georgia Tech has NEVER EVER been Ranked Number 1 in the Final AP Poll.
I know you guys are down there in the slums of Atlanta where the crime and drugs are, but seriously put your pipe down, get outside and get some exercise and try to meet a girl or something normal because Georgia Tech is NOT winning any national championship since you cannot even play in the ACC Chumpionship Game. You play a weak schedule, have no good game left, just a LOSS to UGA. You beat 1 team who is RANKED in the BCS Rankings Top 25 and that team beat NO ONE in the BCS Rankings Top 25. You never see a pass, so you can’t defend the pass nor throw one yourself. You have a horrid defense, and note all this is against a really sorry soft schedule. National Championship when Tech has NEVER been # 1 in the Final AP Poll EVER, ha ha ha ha ha. Put the pipe down nerds, you jerks. EAT MY MILK AND COOKIES!!!!!!!! BULLdawg………..

I was looking at the polls this morning and I want to know how in the H___ Miami can lose to an unranked Clemson and still move up two spots in the polls while Tech beats Virginia and remains at no. 12. What is up with this?

A Tech alum that has seen the lean years, this is the most excitement in many years, Go Tech!!
To the Dogs:
We are coming… with the “high school” offense… can you hear the rumbling, the next record to be STARTED is the 7 wins in a row over the dogs. I foresee that you will change several assistant coaches at the end of the year, and the head coach next year after you loose the 3ed in a row to the “high scool” offence.
Isn’t fun to be competitive in the series? I know I like it better this way. PS: I hope you do beat FL, it will look better on our record when we trounce you. But unfortunately reality sets in and you will only be the 3ed mediocre SEC school to loose to the “high school” offense.

Your ranting child BuLLdawg has a lot of crow to eat. It only shows his lack of knowledge and ability to predict the outcome of a football game. I guess he is frustrated because his glorious bulldawgs have had a lousy season and will only get worse when Tech beats them again this year… They aren’t even mentioned in the same breath as the top 25 teams, let alone top 10, or even BCS bowl eligible teams. Maybe they can play in the blue carpet bowl, but hope they don’t have to play Boise St. Maybe they will stay home and lick their ego’s

After watching Florida, Alabama and Iowa play on Saturday, I’m coming to believe that “anything is possible.” They are all very good teams but certainly beatable.
Navy beat Wake. Hmmmmmm
NC? Hard to see it happening. Losing to Miami WASN’T the problem. It was the dropping in the polls from #13 to out of the polls. If we had dropped to #20, we might be ranked 6th now.

Thr funny thing is POLLS are a joke. The polls shouldn’t start until the 5th week of the season for sure. Look at all the Great SEC teams that play the Money needing Teams for the first 3-4 weeks. Tech had a pre-season game at JAX St but played 3 games in 13 days with 2 REAL TEAMS of the 3 played and lost to Miami as a dead tired Jacket team. The only team I fear right now is Oregan.

By the way: I’m glad to see TCU, Boise State and Cincy ranked highly. It’s not about “brand names.” It’s about winning.
SEC dominance: GT beat MSU in Starkville much more convincingly than either SEC powerhouses Florida or LSU did. Hmmmmmmm
The Big 12 is certainly down this year.

PoaD – I think you all will pop the top ten today. It sucks that you all had so far to move up after Miami, and some of the teams in front of you all have very weak schedules which probably pi$$es the Tech faithful quite a bit.
Looks like your D is catching up with the awesome O, but they still have few holes to fill. IF GT can shore up the D a tad bit more, I truly believe you all should be Top 5. Tech is hitting on 7 of 8 cylinders right now, and with a few more Vs under the belt the “wreck” will being running pretty damn strong by the end of the year when it matters most.
Good luck Jackets….see you in a few!

Sorry my fellow Techsters but under no circumstances do I pull for UGA this week. Growing up in South Florida I was a Gator fan before I stepped foot on Tech’s campus in 1976. I would say I am an Obnoxious Gator fan even. I pulled Georgia my one week this year when they laid that egg in Knoxville. Can’t stand Kiffen. I will settle for a ACC Championship, a trip to the Orange Bowl, and an extended Christmas vacation in Florida this year

Our game had the worst announcers I have heard in a Tech game in a while. It seems they could never get the situation right. They would talk about Virginia’s great play on a third and short when Tech got the first down and then some. They never got the distance right for the first downs and would be talking up Virginia like they had stopped us and what a great play it was then wake up to the fact we had a first down. They showed a block put on Morgan once like it was a game changer and failed to notice we had dropped the runner for a loss behind the line of scrimmage.
I am glad Tech is still 11. It will challenge the team to keep playing. A lot of these teams ahead of us have the real part of the schedule in the back part of their year. If we keep winning it will be a contest between us and the Cincinnati’s, TCUs and Boise State’s on who is playing for the national championship. The rest outside Texas have losses on the schedule. Florida will lose this coming weekend. Then go and beat Bama in the championship game. Texas will lose in it championship game and Iowa will get beat by Ohio State. Fun stuff.

Jackets beat Vandy by more than two touchdowns. Vandy cannot stop the “High School” offense. I don’t know why that term still bothers some Jackets fans. Use it as a badge of honor. Get shirts made with Nesbit and Dwyer with the phrase, “How bout that High School Offense”. Enjoy the ride Tech fans. It has been a long time coming. You have suffered enough in the Wilderness. I live in SC and am surrounded by Clemson orange. Yes we have to win 2 more games and Clemson has to get by FSU but if the Tigers play GT for ACC Title, their fans will jump on Tampa like it’s the national championship. DO NOT LET CLEMSON FANS become the 12th man. When GT played Wake in Jacksonville, both teams are allotted tickets but Ticketmaster sold them too. Those are up for grabs and have the bulk of the tickets. DO NOT LET CLEMSON grab those tickets.
Paul Johnson and this team deserves better from Tech fans. Let this be your holiday if you have to but go to this game. Ask anyone that has been to Memorial Stadium at CLemson or seen Clemson play on the road. It does not matter what their record is, they can take over any stadium and did at Wake a few years ago when Clemson was 0-3. It doesn’t stop them. ALL THE WAY TURNT UP JACKETNATION

I really enjoy catching up on blogs lately … especially watching the UGAyers show up on GT blogs. Don’t know what all the fuss is, only as good as our last games. Except for LSU, we’ve got last wins against every SEC team we face lately to include Auburn (2), MSST (2) and oh yeah UGA. Gonna get another victim next week Vandy and make UGA (2) @ end. Maybe that’s the soft part of our schedule we keep hearing about. Gonna do it without a great passing game too. Bet there is one statistic the blog above didn’t think about. Passes that count points. That’s just it, everything that CPJ does sets up something later. Remember Greg Maddox? Give you a hit or two. With CPJ, by 3rd qtr he’s made the adjustments needed & by the 4th GT just wears you a$$ out. UGAyers, just keep on thinking … errrrrr tupid tupid tupid. I love it.

An early heads up to the nerds out there. I beg you, please don’t start coming up with the excuses that your fat a$$ coach “rested” his players vs. UGA after UGA beats the nerds this year. When UGA went to the SEC championship each time, they never rested their players and beat Tech every time, naturally. I again can’t wait to see the ACC “championship” game in Tampa with 15,000 people there to watch Tech blow it again. It’s pretty sad that you people are that excited about beating a terrible VA team. You nerds really are not smart I guess. UGA will be 5-7? 6-6? Really? Lets see, they have 4 wins right now. They have Florida who they will probably lose to. They will beat Tennessee Tech, win number 5. They will beat Auburn and Kentucky for sure, that would be 7 wins. They will shock all of you losers and beat Tech in the high school stadium which will be half UGA fans for win number 8. From there, they will still go to a New Years Day bowl and end up 9-4 on the year. The funniest thing about all of that is that whenever Tech wins 8 or 9 in a year, it’s considered a “good” year but when UGA wins 8 or 9, it’s a down year or rebuilding year.

k-money, I know you’re on our side, when you ask, “How many National Championships has UGA got?” And you gave the correct answer – ONE (1980).
Tech has FOUR, as you know (1917, 1928, 1952, 1990)
A National Championship is legit only when it is awarded by the universally recognized authority (Walter Camp, “Father of Football,”
roughly, pre-1935; News Services, post-1935), or else won within the universally recognized elimination system (BCS, in recent years).
GT is right up there among the all-time N.C. leaders. Where UGA is, in that department, is more difficult to say.

Bugsquacher and Keith can only take out their frustrations on GT. It does him no good to take their frustrations out on GA. The truth hurts some DAWG fans to the core…… That’s why they are labeled: Typical Fans……………..

Bug S how many votes did UGA get? I mean you did beat VANDY after the UTenn loss. Tech claimed 1/2 the bill with FLORIDA. We beat FSU and lost to UM. UGA couldn’t claim TN. Uga lost to a bad UT team and won if you can call it that against Vandy. UGA STAND-UP be a MAN. Wait, CMR will have you lick the Thong out or Willie’s butt before CMR tries to sell some RUG.

and this is what UGA fans are relegated to these days? Laughing about GT only being 11th in a poll instead of 10th. I know it’s hard for you, but you’ll get through your first season without a bowl in 13 years.
As for GT, anyone who thinks we will be in NCG, I think you are sorely mistaken. We would need so much to happen….the least of which, winning our remaining 4 (and then the ACC CG) games.
I would love for us to just be ACC Champions in CPJ’s first year and then to win our bowl

I agree Cleveland…..the stars would really have to align before Tech gets much higher than 5. What is going to be interesting is if the top 3 stumble, would the BCS championship really be Boise St, Cincinnati, TCU, ( 2 of the 3 of course )

Tech moved up from #13 to #11 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. That’s the one that really counts because it is part of the BCS rankings, not the AP. I’m not worried about Oregon jumping over Tech in the AP. They will have to play USC next week. They won’t stay there for long.
If any Dawg fan needs a real laugh, they can count how many votes UGA received in the same poll. Oh wait, there is NOTHING to count. UGA didn’t receive a single vote. UGA did receive 5 measly VOTES in the Coaches’ Poll.

Tech Fans, DAWG Fan here and I want to say that I am freakin pissed off that you guys did not move up in the polls. That is total crap. You have a Top 10 program. Another reason in the list of why Collage Football is becoming more of a joke with each passing day. Congrats on the win over UV.

I don’t get it, who have Boise State and TCU played? Why are they considered top ten teams? I looked at both of their schedules and absolutely laughed. It would be funny if it were not for the teams that are being denied a chance to play in the BCS cause of these clowns. I thought surely TCU would have a Texas on their schedule but of course not..and Boise State has noone either. What a blanking joke. The conferences they are in couldn’t beat Div IAA teams. I would have more respect for these two teams if they played an App St or SC State for that matter. It is cow manure to be polite….it is what it is and Cincinatti is not much better

Bugsquacher and Keith are relly two pathetic losers. You are lucky that Bye Week didn’t beat you this week. Well at least you didn’t lose. It kills both of you because you know that Paul Johnson has turned us into a top 10 team annually. We will be playing for the ACC and National Championships for years to come while your program is headed in the opposite direction.
