Jonathan Dwyer and Josh Nesbitt are etching their names in the Ga. Tech record book this year but they’re not the only one. With five games left to go, records are falling, ensuring that Paul Johnson’s second squad as head coach of the Ramblin’ Wreck will be well remembered.

9. C.J. Williams 245 1995
10. Lenny Snow 202 1966
NR Josh Nesbitt 151 2009
With five games left to go, Nesbitt is likely to end up in the top ten for most rushes in a season. He’d have to average slightly more than 20 carries the rest of the way.
Dwyer is pretty far out of the running on this with 99 carries so far this year.

13. Jonathan Dwyer 381 2007-
NR Josh Nesbitt 376 2007-
It looks pretty good that Nesbitt will be in the top 10 on the career rushes list. Again Nesbitt needs about 20 carries a game to end up on the top ten. Dwyer will be closer. He needs 65 rushes in the next five games to unseat Lenny Snow from the top ten. Granted Nesbitt might keep him out all together.

10. C.J. Williams 1138 2009
NR Josh Nesbitt 625 2009
NR Jonathan Dwyer 593 2009
Dwyer is far from his epic season of last year. But his 2009 campaign is still in the running for ending up in the record books for most yards in a season. He’ll need about 109 yards a game for the rest of the season to unseat C.J. Williams and join Tashard Choice and Robert Lavette as the only players with two season in the top ten list.
Nesbitt’s impressive year on the ground needs 103 yards per game to finish the season in the top ten. With 108 yards a game, he’ll unseat Joe Burns from the #9 slot. Pretty amazing to have two of the best running performances in a season going on at the same time.

16. Josh Nesbitt 1657 2007-
Dwyer’s already made his make on the career rushing yards list. He’ll likely top Joe Burns. Cracking the top 5 would take an insane last five games. It isn’t happening. Nesbitt just needs 370 yards to end up in the top ten. With 123 yards per game in the last five games he’ll be in the top nine.

NR Josh Nesbitt 9 2009
Nesbitt needs two more touchdowns to join Dwyer in the top ten for most rushing touchdowns in a season. Three more trips to the end zone will equal Dwyer’s touchdown total from last year. Five touchdowns in five games will land him in the top two. It’s likely Robert Lavette will hold onto the top spot. Ten touchdowns in five games is asking a lot, even of Nesbitt.

Tech fans continue to sit there and post the dumbest thoughts on National Championship Game.
Miami of Florida beat you soundly 33-17.
Tech has to be within 5 spots and have beat Miami of Florida head-to-head, which Tech did not.
Miami of Florida is also ahead of Georgia Tech by 3 positions in the BCS Rankings.
Neither team plays a single good team, except Tech plays UGA whom they will never beat, in the last game.
There are no other even beginning to be reasonable opponents for either Georgia Tech nor Miami of Florida.
Nothing Georgia Tech can do to jump Miami of Florida, and if Georgia Tech did jump Miami of Florida and Miami of Florida is within 5 spots of Georgia Tech, Miami of Florida goes to the BCS Bowl Game representing this said sorry conference, the ACC.
This is because Georgia Tech LOST to Miami of Florida head-to-head 17-33.
Your season was over the nanosecond you LOST to Miami of Florida.
You will NOT beat UGA anyway, and will drop farther behind Miami of Florida.
You have run your mouth about how great you are in a sorry conference because instead of LOSING to UGA for the 60th time, you delayed that 60th LOSS to UGA until this season.
I hope that this clarifies just how absolutely void of any common sense you are at Georgia Tech.
National Championship, B.S. Tech has NEVER EVER been ranked Number 1 by the AP Poll ever. And, this year is obviously no different with you Number 13.
Now, run your mouth some more.

You know I would love to have ANOTHER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (unlike the single digit dawgs) but I’m not sure I want it badly enough to actually pull for the dawgs against FL. This just seems unethical and anti-Tebow, dad gummit..

I see the logic Alabama Jack, but there’s some things in life that I just can’t do. I’ll have to hope for another upset on UF’s schedule.
However, it’s far tOo premature to start thinking of possibilities. That’s what usually baits the trap.
It time to put into effect a slogan Erk gave us down in Statesboro when late season rolled around and the wt. of each game became greater and greater: JUST….. ONE MORE TIME !
Go Jackets ! Beat UVA !
ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME…ONE MORE TIME……………………

I find it comically ironic that Tech football is having a winning season so far this year, yet Tech’s fan base is completely obsessed with how UGA’s season is going. Wow! Just wow……

Ben Wedekind, a 22-year-old international affairs major from Florida, can’t help that his mind wanders to Nov. 28 and the annual altercation the Bulldogs.
“That’s part of why people are so excited, because we appear to be so much better than Georgia this year,” he says with determination. “We’re gonna win. Oh, yeah.”

How you feeling now? Great pass defense in OT today. Clem’s son did the ass kicking today.
Suggest you head to Sears and buy a down coat to keep you warm in Boise for the Bowl Game.
