I would be remiss if I didn’t revisit the comments made by Virginia Tech safety Kam Chancellor this summer during an ACC media session in Greensboro.
Paraphrasing, Chancellor said he picked up something while watching film of the Jackets that he thought gave him a pretty good idea where the ball was going and what the play would be.
When asked about that at the same media session, coach Paul Johnson said that Chancellor should be able to make every tackle.
Chancellor had six tackles on Saturday.
Josh Nesbitt was asked if the team talked about Chancellor’s comments this week in the lead-up to the game.
He smiled and said, “How about them Jackets?”

Since when did ‘how many fans you have’, or ‘how big a stadium you have’ make any difference to the outcomes of games? Last time I checked, it is still about W’s and L’s.
Example: A very “large, sold out stadium” sat in the rain to watch GT whip UGA’s butt!

Miami “The U” won a bunch of National Championships! Do you think they worried about the stadium being full, etc. They went out and destroyed teams and didn’t care! They won with 1/2 the crowd of standford stadium.
You play from the heart. Your fans are your fans. There’s nothing you can do about it! Deal with it!

BS mutt, do your homework. Tech has 6 National Championships; UGAG has 5. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_I_FBS_National_Football_Championship
for confirmations. Also, how many crystal footballs does UGAG have in their trophy case? Can you spell ZERO? Tech has one, with or without the AP.

Don’t pay attention to the GT haters out there and their trash talk. GT fans need to enjoy this win this weekend because it was a great win. Next we have to focus on Virginia who we have had a hard time with in the past. Remember they beat us on homeecoming last year in our stadium and ruined our chances of playing for an ACC title. Al Groh always seems to start out slow with that team but we seem to play them every year when they start playing better football. If tech can stay in that offensive groove they are in and play decent defense the rest of the year they should be ok going into the Georgia game. GO JACKETS!

Classic comment by Josh Nesbitt, he’s not only growing as a football player but as a young man as well. The entire Tech team has class and is well schooled by Coach Johnson and his staff and how to project themselves in a positive manner in the media. Hey Hokies, if you think CPJ will ever be satisfied taking a back seat to you Imposters, think again. CPJ won’t be happy until he goes 12-0, then 13-0 and finally 14-0…but not just one season but over and over again. CPJ will find a way to out coach, out fox, out scheme and out deceive you everytime. And if Jacketnation cared about a 7-5 record year after year, we would have just kept the coach we had. So, if preparing for GT’s offense back in your spring and summer drills didn’t get the job done, maybe you should just forego the rest of your 2009 season and start getting ready to play us next yr. Especially enjoyed watching the Marcus Wright TD on ESPN360.com. Nice block Kam Chancellor …..NOT …. btw, like cuttyshark says, GT will run over you, back the train, and run over your again. I watched the Wright and Nesbitt td’s on 360 over and over and over again. hahahaha Jackets Rock!

Hey BULLSCUM, you are a complete idiot! I love how you come on a tech blog to talk trash about the schedule. Is that what makes a good team great? We beat a team that was top 5 and took a lead into the 4th quarter against alabama, you know man, the same alabama team that drilled you in athens when you were bumping your chest with your #1 ranking. Talk about a program that flops in a big game. UGAY didn’t even compete against florida or alabama and you got thumped off the field in athens 33-14 in the second half by tech. Why? YOUR OVERRATED!!! YOUR BITTER BECAUSE TECH BEAT YOU AND WE JUST BEAT A TOP 5 TEAM. You suck. Who have you beaten this year that is ranked in the top 25 today? Last time i checked it was nobody and 1 is more than 0 isn’t it?? Are you telling me uga would beat vt this season? Look at how bad tenn beat you, and you think you could finish above miami,vt and gt? You guys SUCK! You rank like 75th in offense and defense and you think tech fans are worried about ugay? I think virginia will give us a better game than ugay! Why do we care about florida and lsu? What i do know is this, YOU GUYS ARE BRINGING OUR STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE DOWN, BECAUSE YOU STINK! There is a reason vt was ranked #4 in the nation and higher than most of the teams you mentioned. Do you want a cookie for being in the same conference with bama and florida? All you seem to do is talk smack but the bottom line is your losing on the field. Have fun in the sh*t bowl this year loser. Why don’t you be a real man and throw up your email address and let’s put that money where your mouth is and put a wager on the ugay, tech game. You seem so confident and i will never turn down an idiot’s money. Will you continue to talk the talk, or walk the walk? Put your email info up loser or get lost! You are a complete moron and i bet the farm that you are all talk. Tech wins in atlanta next month, and i will put any amount of money behind my mouth! What about you joke? Who have you beaten again this year worth a flip? (CRICKETS) Hey, i think tenn just scored again!!

To claim the superiority of the SEC, especially this year, is to be delusional.
Believe it or not, the strongest conference in college football this year is the Pac 10.
Tennessee just may be the 6th best team in the SEC, but got beat by one of the lower teams in the Pac 10 (at home, nonetheless).
The SEC is becoming more and more like the Big 12, with a few elite programs, and a lot of bad to garbage to dumpster teams. UGA is on the cusp of falling into the garbage heap, whereas Vanderbilt has already made it to dumpster status, having lost to Army.
The worst team in the ACC is FSU, and they put a beatdown on BYU.
Once again, claiming SEC superiority is delusional.

A sincere congratulations to you Tech fans. I am a Dawg fan but I know a well coached team on a mission when I see one and it sure ain’t us. Tech is the real deal and you can’t help but be envious if you are a Dawg fan.
Odds are we’re gonna lose two in a row to the Jackets which is gonna be mighty painful given the ribbing we’ve been gettng from last year. The shoe is totally on the other foot. Now UGA needs to beat Tech to have a decent season. Maybe a big wake up call for the UGA coachig staff.
Anyway, enjoy the victory and the #11 ranking. Your earned it. Hope we get a hell of a lot better before we play you guys.

Doug, could you or one of your people look back at last year and this year. Has CPJ and the team lost any game where we were trailing by greater than 7 at half time? (That would only be 5 games). It seems to me that his half time adjustments are the key to our wins – Ugay last year, FSU and VATech so far this year.

Who Graduated from the SEC?
October 18th, 2009

Why do idiots like BullDawg have to constantly talk about the SEC when their team sucks. Did you graduate from the SEC? Do you wear strictly SEC jerseys and have SEC flags on your truck? Did your mail-in degree come with an SEC logo stamped on it? Do you put SEC on your resume? If you can’t answer yes to at least 3 of the questions above – PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT THE SEC!!!! The fact remains – 4-3 is pretty disappointing. Especially when you get your butt handed to you in TN. Your feeling of emptiness is not our fault. I’m sure you can find plenty of puppy lovers willing to hug it out.

Heck, the guy most likely lives in a mobile home up in winder, with the rebel flag flying high and 3 months late on the rent. My comments only directed to the one goofy georgia fan(bulldawg), not all uga fans for the record.
As far as our team is concerned, i think the sky is the limit. There is a bit of concern though. Our special teams is scary and we have no kicking game. We really need a solid kicker to add for next year and i hear we may give a scholarship to a kicker still in this years class. I must also say i’m not convinced wommack is the right guy to our defense. We played inspired last night for sure, but i’m just not sold on his scheme. The kids played their butt off on both sides of the ball. Cpj has the offense humming and it appears that our worst enemy could be us. I don’t think there is a defense left on the schedule that can stop our offense! Uva has been a huge thorn in our side up there since 1990. I just hope we just stay focused and let our offense impose the will on the uva defense and play ball control. If our defense has another good showing, we will beat uva by atleast 2 td’s. Let’s keep rolling and hope miami has 1 more loss in them!! GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!

Bulldawg,
We have only beat one current top 25 team…and thanks to your crappy team, we don’t get to play any others.
Both Tech and UGA have played two current top 25 teams. Tech is 1-1, UGA is 0-2…about to be 0-3 in two weeks, then 0-4 in November.
Bulldawg, who exactly have you beaten that is worth anything? USCe? Bwahahaha! You guys lost to UT…the same UT that came into Neyland with a true freshman QB and won.
Face it: Richt is a good coach, but now that Meyer, Saban, Miles, and Paul Johnson have started to get their programs rolling….it has shown that he is far from a great coach. All those top 10 recruiting classes and you’re 4-3 in a weak SEC outside of Bama and UF. UGA’s window has been slammed shut by 4 coaches that Richt can’t outcoach. A first year coach Kiffin also hobnail booted your sorry team back to Athens.
You had your shot. Now it is back to second in the SEC east every year, and riding the coattails of the LSU’s, Bama’s, and UF’s of the conference.
“We may suck, but teh SEC is AWESOME!”
I love it! I love your tears of sadness Bulldawg! Yummy!
Onto the best team in the state of Georgia:
Josh Nesbitt is a warrior. Marcus Wright is coming into his own. That little man just has great vision and quickness and is a hell of a cut blocker for being 5-7. The whole LB crew played lights out. If we get Egbu and Coop back, I’ll feel even better about the D.

Hey BuLLgenius
“Oklahoma State is ranked AHEAD of Georgia Tech.”
Might want to recheck that one buddy.
“Georgia has 6 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in FOOTBALL, in all the SAME POLLS Georgia Tech has ANY.”
Also might want to recheck that one. Do you even know anything about the school you claim to be a fan of? My guess is you are a six year old boy looking to stir up trouble. Surely no true dog fan knows so little about his/her own school. First of all, uog has only ended the season #1 in any relatively major ranking five times (not 6). The school itself only claims two – 1980 which I’ll give you and 1942, which is debatable. Second, even when it ended #1 they were NOT voted #1 by polls, and instead picked by mathematical systems (see below).
1927 – BS (Boand System), PS ( Poling System).
1942 – B(QPRS) (Berryman (QPRS)), BR (Billingsley Report), DeS (DeVold System), HS (Houlgate System), L (Litkenhous), PS (see above), SR (Sagarin Ratings), WS (Williamson System)
1946 – WS (see above)
1968 – L (see above)
As you can see, in NONE of those four years was uog voted #1 by ANY POLL. Even when you go to a majority of the math systems, uog has only won 2, as compared to Tech’s (rightful) 4.

Enough about bulldawg everyone on here knows he’s just pissed that UGA gets rocked week after week and continues to look worse and worse, while Tech improves and gets more fun to watch every week.
But seriously, during the TV broadcast Bob Davie said with this offense you can actually out scheme teams and can be unstoppable without making mistakes and turnovers. Now that all the parts are clicking in the 2nd year in CPJ’s system it’s becoming evident that this is true. I mean you look at the last 2 weeks we have had the lead and about 5 minutes on the clock and we just burn it out without any touble because the defense can’t physically stop our offense because of the scheme. I mean you look at other offenses at the end of the game and they usually go 3&out when trying to just run it out, but with our offense we try to run it out and get 5-10 yards on every run. It’s just unblievable to see what coach johnson has done with this team in just 1 and a half years compared to what our program has been over the last 10 years. It’s a great time to be a Tech fan and it’s only going to get better. Just think of next year we have all of our starters on offense back again (assuming some don’t leave for the NFL). THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT
TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
