FSU is averaging more than 100 rushing yards a game this season.
However, more than 300 of their season’s total came in one game against BYU.
To show how inept the running game has been in the other four games, the Seminoles are averaging a little less than 70 yards a game on the ground.
More than half their sacks came in one game, Jacksonville State.
It is a team that can neither run, nor can it defend the pass.
Do either of those play to Tech’s strengths?
That’s a tough question. Tech doesn’t pass just to pass. It pass for big plays. Therefore, the other team’s pass defense, no matter how good or bad, sometimes doesn’t matter.
And the Seminoles’ inability to run may not matter because FSU loves to pass. As you know, Tech has had issues getting to the quarterback the past few games. When quarterbacks have had time they have done well against the Jackets. It’s only fair to say that would be true for most teams.
Some are saying this is a trap game for Tech, as odd as that sounds.
It seems like it will be a high-scoring affair.
I can’t decide yet how I think the game is going to go.
Every time I think I’ve got a peg on the team, something changes my mind.
I thought the defense had things figured out after the UNC game. And then UNC laid another egg the next week and MSU put up more than 400 yards.
Tech’s special teams start out the season like gangbusters, and now they suddenly don’t look so strong.
The offense seems to have put it together. We’ll see if that trend stays true.

SuperDawg is really “WeakDawg the Idiot”. How’s that for a fruitloop? I believe you are the one that predicted the breakout game for Calib King or is it Queen? I guess Washedup Easy will have a breakout game this week and gain 9 yds on 12 carries. What a pathethic offensive line to run behind. Ha,Ha,Ha. 45-42 will become 56-3 this year. It must be living hell to be a dawg fan.

Trap game or not and even with Noles fans all over the radio demanding Bowden’s exit, no FSU fan, player, coach or alum wants to lose to GT..especially since FSU lost to us last yr on a fumble in the endzone. Jackets are 0-6 at Doak Campbell Stadium, that says it all, its another bloodbath….good luck Jackets go get’em

We really need to get them down early and keep the pressure on.That would take the crowd out of the game.If they score early, that will only pump them up and will be hard to come back on them.It would be a GREAT day if Tech wins and MUTTS fall to Tennessee!

I think that the if the noles are either distracted or fired up, our offense will make them pay.
To defend the option, you can’t over commit. I think the Jackets will have several huge gains and score over 30. FSU’s offense is hard to read, but I predict 35-21 Jackets.

Here is what is going on. Jimbo has hired some coaches for the long run on the offensive side of the ball. The defensive coaches, Andrews and Amato are short timers. Andrews is retiring and Amato won’t be retained. There is a major rift among the coaching staff. By now you have heard about Amato going after Jimbo. Well, it happened twice. BC and USF.
USF game, Bobby forgot he was doing the pre game speech to the team and was still in his office talking on the phone. Jimbo looked at his watch and decided to go ahead and talk to the team. Amato took exception to this in front of the team. Happened again before the BC game.
Defensive coaches are doing zero recruiting while Jimbo and the offensive guys are working very hard. It is a mess. To top things off, about 8,000 students are going to wear “black out shirts” to the game. The black out is to erase Bobby from FSU. Now there is a larger group that will be supporting Bobby but unless he goes ahead and announces this is his last year, that group has no chance of producing any kind of unity among the Seminole nation.
Tech will smoke this bunch by 30.

One thing has not been mentioned, Tech has never won in Tallahassee. OLD Bobby is probably reminding his players of this fact. The JACKETS must learn from the Miami experience and be really focused…………..GO TECH!

HAHA, how can you possibly call this a Trap game.
A trap game by definition ( I thought) is a game that you are expected to win handily but could possibly lay an egg on. Now where does anyone get off saying that GT is expected to beat FSU handily?
Seriously I am a huge Tech fan and I think people sound like idiots calling this a trap game.
We are 1-12 against Bobby Bowden!
We have never won in Doak Campbell!
My friends, this is easily the hardest game of our season with @ Miami, VT and UGAY being the other three toughest.
