Dwyer, no worries
For those who have worried Jonathan Dwyer.
I wouldn’t worry too much. Coach Paul Johnson isn’t.
Dwyer, 2009: 168 yards, 5.6 yards a carry, 2 touchdowns
Dwyer, 2008: 250 yards, 6.4 yards a carry, 3 touchdowns
Now, also keep in mind that Dwyer has actually only played the equivalent of 2 games this season. He sat out just about all of the second half of the JSU game, and missed all of the second half of the Miami game.
Johnson said after Wednesday’s practice that the thing about Dwyer is his yards will come in bunches. Dwyer said earlier this week that he wasn’t worried, either.

I asked Paul Johnson if there was a difference in a player’s mindset between starting a game, or coming off the bench.
He said he didn’t think so. 30 snaps are 30 snaps.
Two players, Sedric Griffin and Julian Burnett, said they thought there was a small difference.
That difference being after you’ve earned a starting job you want to keep it by doing the right things, the smart things, etc. When you are coming off the bench you try to go full-bore to get the coaches’ attentions. I interpreted that to mean that perhaps you play a bit more recklessley as you come off the bench and try to earn a starting position, than you do as a starter. But, I’d love to hear y’all’s thoughts on that.

The point is some other St. Simons guy was talking a bunch of smack all year and YOU guys are having to deal with the fallout.
Sure, you lost to SUPERIOR TEAM (you said it), but based all all the trash y’all talked last year, CPJ was the next coming of John Heisman.
Instead, your “Perfect Option” was outed as a gimmick, and you lost, and will go back to losing becuase you are Tech and that is what you do.

Geez. This place goes to hell in a handbasket pretty quick. I am a Dawg fan who came on here to see how the Tech fans were feeling about last week’s game. I was actually enjoying reading your guys dissection of your team’s weaknesses. I was glad to see yall as worried about your D as I am about ours.
Then the dumbarses come out and it feels like I’m all of a sudden riding the shortbus to 3rd grade.

Does anybody on this blog be they GT, UGA, LSU fan, whatever really believe after watching that Miami game that UGA wouldn’t torch GT’s secondary. GT hasn’t got 3 guys that can triple cover A.J. Green. Throw in Orson Charles and Michael Moore underneath and it would get super ugly. Guys Gerrard Tarrant can’t cover my dead grandmother. Maybe it is just me, but it seems Tech is getting worse. Clemson and Miami threw the ball at will, while our offense was pathetic. If you think about it, what has our offense done against a 1-A opponent this year? A couple of touchdowns and some field goals. (you can’t count the Blair pass, that was special teams). Come to think of it Blair may have as many touchdown passes as Nesbitt this year against 1-A opponents.
Johnson isn’t worried, but as I recall, North Carolina beat Tech soundly last year, and they are supposed to be even better this year. I don’t share his confidence as of right now.
