A little bit of love

I know that yall only read ajc.com for all of your sports news, :) , but I happened to glance at a couple of other sites today.

What do you know, Georgia Tech has suddenly become the favorite in the ACC, according to CNNSI.com’s Stewart Mandel. He predicts the Jackets to make it to the Orange Bowl.

But wait, there’s more.

ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit confirmed Mandel’s vote (a little jab at ESPN’s practice of confirming already-published reports. As if ESPN confirming it validates the legitimacy of the news), and also said that Tech is going to make it to the Orange Bowl.

I thought y’all would be interested….

Coach Paul Johnson was asked if he had any memories of his first season-opener as an assistant coach at Avery County high school in 1979. He said he didn’t, though he joked he may have had a mohawk.

If you have any questions about the team, I’ll check back at 1:30 or so tomorrow.

TECH PLAYERS AIN’T WON CRAP. Put down the papers/mags and pick-up a class book and some weights. GT men you ain’t sh*t till you do Sh*t. UNC, VT and UVA are better as of now. Prove these people WRONG or prove them RIGHT. UNC and LSU proved a mistake can change the game.

Ah, I hear the familiar refrain of the UGA fans from the late 90s. “Next year we’ll [fill in the blank].” I can’t wait until you losers are 0-1 and some Cowboy fan pistolwhips you in the parking lot.

This season could turn on the defensive side of the ball as well. We won some close games last year and lost a few close games. This offense could be explosive to watch in scoring and moving the chains.

Hey guys,

Why do we have such a little brother inferiority complex towards UGA? It’s really sad and I’m tired of seeing us on their blog trying to appeal to them and prove a point. You know they laugh at us and swat us away like insignificant gnats??

Win one out of 8 and the tech nerds talk trash. Haha.

Your wimp offense will be shut down this year. Your O line is week. You will lose to miami, fsu, unv, vt, vandy, va and uga. Then you nerds will be whineing again. How funny it will be to watch your team lose. Especally to UGA!!

42-6 uga over nerds

Nerds will lose 7 games. NO BOWL FOR THE NERDS. Which is good since they always lose their bowl game.

Loses to miami, Fsu, VT, Va, UNC, Vandy and UGA. Then the nerds will disapear and crawl back in their basements at mommies house.

Wow. Tech nirvana is one (three point) win in eight years.

“Dogs suck! We’re the greatest that’s ever been! Let’s get rings! Dogs suck!”

Here’s the sad (for you) truth. That game might have been GT’s biggest of the year, but it was only the Dog’s NINTH most important.

Enjoy it for another few months. All you have to look forward to is at least another eight years wandering in the wilderness.

Thanks for asking.

4th and Reggie Ball, 7-1 in this century?, I’m pretty sure we’ve played more in the past hundred years… yep! I’m certain of it! In this century, Tech has 4 national championships….uga has one ONLY because of the outcome of the Tech/ND game….you’re welcome!

Greg, you MIGHT want to check your own spelling before you go correcting someone else…”whineing”? Just sayin’.

F. Sinkwich, how is uga EVER going to make a ripple on the national level if they lose to their ‘ninth most important’?! For the record, beating Fl. St. was a pretty big win for us! Miami was a great one, too! Beating the mutts just preserved the longest winning streak….ours! Eight in a row, baby! Hence, the rings!

“Grammer” happens to be my name. Thus, “Grammer Police” is a play on words. I did not expect the brain-dead UGA tards that post on this blog to understand or comprehend.

To the UGA folks: please continue injecting Botox into CMR’s forehead. My HBO signal is poor and I’m counting on CMR’s massive shiny dome to alleviate my suffering.

I see the dawgs put tickets on sale today. What happened to all the sold out games??? Yeah Right ? Sold out my AZZ. Buy one Nascar hat and get 2 free tickets. Purchase tickets for Oklahoma State and get free air fare included. What a joke !!!! 45-42; 4 national championships to 1.

CMR definitely has a more bovine look with his eye spacing, but the similarity is striking. No wonder the dance in the endzone was so “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”.

Mr. Stinger,

Those tickets were allocated to opposing schools but were returned to UGA because their fans didn’t want to waste money just to watch their team get massacred by the mighty Dawgs! I’m guessing by this time, none remain. And no hot dog or pizza coupons were included as incentives.

Thanks for asking.

Yes, we all now that UGA has won a lot of games, but have you actually accomplished. 1 title and a few SEC titles. Coming from the North in 1987 the Program with the richest Football history was and still is Georgia Tech. Granted your success of late has is really boosted the profits and branding of the Program. But, ask yourself why? All that I know is watch what happens when Tech beats the crap out of you for the next 10 years and all of a sudden Sanford Stadium will not be so crowded anymore.
Anyway I agree with most of you that Tech will have a great year this year the cards are in our hands and I actually believe the ACC will have one of its greatest years of late. I believe NC State will start us off right on Thursday night. NC State don’t make me a liar!!! Lol. Tech has had a successful year but that success came with a cost. They fumbled one time to many, over threw Roddy Jones for the winning score and got a bad call to stop the drive that game VT the winning touchdown. They didn’t show up mentally for the North Carolina Game, One fumble to many against UVA and they thought they were the SH*T against LSU and got spanked. So, there is a lot to keep this team grounded. Not to mention a No nonsense Coach that learned a lesson himself against LSU and will not let that happen again. So, let’s pray like everybody else that has the ability to have a great season for a healthy team of players throughout the year and the luck of the bounce to reside in GT’s favor. If the players actually read these blogs (which I hope the are smart enough not to), just remember one thing. You control your destiny which is controlled by the way you think and the actions you take. Think like Champions and Act Like Champions and you will have another piece of hardware that those stinkin’ dawgs don’t have, I did.

F.Sinkwich, Just like Louisiana Jacket said, some bulldog will come on here and try to make excuses to why you haven’t sold out your games. We could use the same excuse. Matter of fact, I think I will use that one next time, that was pretty good. Your punch line was really funny about other teams worried about getting massacred. I even saw where you beat Oklahoma State in practice 24-21. Wow, that must have been a sell out too. Why don’t you try to beat the real team in Stillwater?

Stinger, you idiot, the extra tickets are for away games. UGA got extra tickets because they sold their allotment and the home team had extra tickets to sell so they offered them to UGA. We sell more tickets to away games than yeck does to home games.

This just in, Oklahoma State beat UGA in practice today 45-3. T.Boone Pickens was not too concerned about the close outcome. He knows that the real game will result in a 363 point victory for the Cowboys. Breaking news——- Roddy Jones just scored again !!!! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha. How does it feel to have 80,000 idiots watch you get your AZZ beat?
