Buzzed, did you learn that cute "not" joke from Borat? Very nice.

Dawghater, you can only wish that GT beat GA the way that FL and AL did. Yes, we got our tails whipped by the #1 and #6 teams in the nation last year. GT winning by 3 POINTS is not "destroying" anything. But if it's last year's history you want to discuss, what do you have to say about losses to the good ole (unranked) boys of Virgina? And how about that 3 point beat down you gave Gardner-Webb (10-7)...that was awesome!

NOT!!!

Heck, I almost forgot to remind y'all that the Dawgs destroyed LSU in their own back yard last year...52-38.

I promise tech fans are 18 days away from the beginning of an extremely pathetic season. You need to stop building this team up in your heads so it doesn't hurt so bad once it happens. One 9-4 season (could have VERY easily been 6-7... GWebb, FSU, UGA) and you think you are good?

It is just me or does Doug have a crush on TJ Barnes. Just for kicks look at his articles and number 4 on the depth chart TJ Barnes is mentioned more than ACC Player of the year Dwyer & All American candidate Morgie Morgie. Case and point - Look at today's article...3 lines and HIS favorite player is mentioned

I saw David Simms for the first time two Saturday's ago and man, that kid is built like a linebacker. He's still shaky at execution but it's all still new to him. He and Luallen will be a potent 1-2 punch in a couple of years.
Last year, at the Jax State game Jaybo looked fantastic, breaking off long runs and distributing the ball. We'll be able to compare Washington to that in a few weeks. For those at the '09 spring game, Jaybo fumbled his first pitch. He's not perfect.
I'd like to hear a little bit of the thinking on how Miami is going to put some payback on the Jackets. We ran all over them in '08 and Dwyer didn't play a single snap in the second half. Oh that's right ..., they're gonna watch the LSU "blueprint."
I'm going to the Miami game again this year. Last time we went down there, they tore the stadium down after we left. they got tadpoles the size of Mercury's down in florida.

"Sorry to jump in late. I think most of the questions have been answered, "

No, the first question was not answered. What is Jorday Luallen's status? Is he close to returning?

To all the pups that want to spout the genius of lsu figuring out the Tech offense......does that mean that the mutts won't stand a chance against Bama and the Gators? Just watch the video of those games and the dogs have NO chance! The ONLY thing that can be gained by watching the footage from the Tech vs. lsu game is that Tech SUCKED on special teams and needs to focus through the entire season....including the vacation of post season bowls! CPJ is already handling this....our offense is going to be better than last year! Granted, our defense is going to be the key ingredient to how far Tech can go this coming season! It's going to be an amazing season, or it's going to be a long season! GO TECH!!!

so lsu did what the dogs could not do...
Was that from injuries?
Was that from lack of smarts to figure it out?
What was it?

Reality Check,
No, you have not seen me on U(sic)GA or the real nerd, Mrs. King's blog. You think the other blogs are U(sic)GA just because so many of you post on them. They're not. I'll always point out to Tony Barnyard that his articals are a blatant man-boy love between him and the SEC. Plus, nothing high and mighty about my post, either. Just your point was really lame, "they do it, so do I."

superDog,
heeyyyyy

Jethro Boudine,
Cheer up, I think preseason number 1 deserves a ring too.

Sorry to jump in late. I think most of the questions have been answered, but Chris Jackson will redshirt this year and be available in 2010. He is indeed going into a position that's pretty deep. I don't know his reasoning, but I'd have to guess that it was his choice.

Position choices seem to work one of two ways with players that can play different spots. A) They choose to play there; B) Johnson asks them if they'd like to move to a certain position, the reason generally being that the team is light at that position. That said, he'll have plenty of time to switch if he wants.

I'd trust Brian Bohannon's knowledge of Tevin Washington specifically and quarterbacks in general. If he was as poor a coach as Big Eye suggests, something tells me Johnson wouldn't keep him around.

Bobby Godd - True, A-backs catch a lot of passes in this offense. But, by extension of your logic, you'd think Stephen Hill and Demaryius Thomas should also play A-back and not wide receiver because A-backs catch a lot of passes.

Tony - Doug will be covering basketball this year.
