Honestly UVA is rebuilding; however they are playing a very tough schedule this year either 9 or 10 teams on their schedule went to bowl games last year. The out of conference schedule is a D2 team William and Mary (Yeah I know), but then TCU, Southern Miss, and Indiana. As far as the ACC, I would love to see it become the best conference around.

Personally I love ACC ft ball....the parity that has developed in the league makes ALMOST every conference game exciting to watch. So, who cares if the conference isn't rated number one....the football is fun to watch. Watch out for NC State...Tom O'Brien has brought that team out of the ashes....it won't be long before they are considered for the division championship.

the ACC has been a 12 team conf for just a few years. the addition of VT MIA BC and to go back a ways FSU has brought a lot of talent and excitement about the future and for those that watch ACC ft ball year in year out know that there are plenty of good match ups against SEC teams. Southern ft ball is by far the best in the country and I would say top to bottom the ACC is 3rd best for whatever its worth. PAC 10 is top heavy with USC, big ten reeks, big XII and SEC pretty darn good. ACC ball is in the middle and thats fine with me. It keeps us under the radar. We all saw what happened to UGA with their pre-season #1 ranking, YIKES! (hopefully the same will happen to UF) Anyway GT is going to win their division and hopefully the conf. and maybe just maybe the NC. Also look for personnel changes coming UGA way (im looking at you willie) (and mark richt has a butt cut)

By the way, I think we can all agree that VT has absolutely the best cheer in college football. "Stick it in, stick it in, stick it in!"

I hope you guys go 12-1 this year (note the lack of 14th game), beating out an SEC team in an at large birth.

Steve, you're right on. VT was on track to beat USC and then got hosed by a mega-BS 15 yarder (think Taylor's late hit on Taylor this year or Travares Tillman pass interference on Heins Ward for the old schoolers). VT played a good game against USC but got deflated after that penalty. I don't blame the refs, but VT was ouplaying USC and playing on emotion. Emotion goes way down after bad calls.

I admit that I am late with this response to old gold engineer, and I admit that we were clobbered by LSU, but if memory serves we last played USC in the season opener and lost 24-13 to a very good team. Maybe what old MOLD Engineer was thinking about the debacle our neighbors to the northeast suffered at the hands of the Trojans. Please before you totally embarrass yourself again their as at least as much difference between a Hokie and 'Hoo as between a Bulldog and a Wreck!

I know, I know... you're going to say don't confuse me with the facts, I have already made up my mind. But it's such a SMALL mind to remake!!

Hokie, Hokie, Hokie, Hi!!!!

Crazy!!! This may be a little off subject but ACC championship?? Canes have had top 10 recruiting year the last 2 years and we saw what ALL those FrR. did last year...Sick of people not giving them the respect they WILL earn this year...Watch out all you GT, FSU, OKIE, and VT fans because with the hardest schedule on D1 we will overcome and be the university that brought fear to opponents hearts then and now NOW!!!!!!!!!
