Tech RHP Zach Von Tersch (6-2, 5.47 ERA) will face RHP Cecil Tanner (3-1, 4.15 ERA).
Von Tersch’s last start came on May 2 against Presbyterian. He went five innings, giving up six hits, six runs (three earned), three walks and three strikeouts.
Tanner’s last appearance came in relief in last weekend’s series against Vanderbilt. He pitched two innings, with one walk and two strikeouts.

UGA vs Tech in Football:
UGA leads the series 59-38-5. We’ve won 7 straight, 14 of 17 and an amazing 23 of the last 30.
We also boast more wins, Bowl wins, Bowl games, conference titles, winning season, 10+ win seasons, Top 25 Finishes, All-Americans, Heisman Winners, College Football Hall of Famers, NFL players, NFL MVPs, Super Bowl MVPs and a higher win %.
UGA vs GT in Baseball:
UGA leads the series 194-147-2. UGA has won a World Series Title, Tech hasn’t. UGA has been to the CWS 6 times, Tech has been 3 times. We have also eliminated Tech from the Tournament 3 times this decade in 2001, 2004 and 2008.
UGA vs GT in Women’s Basketball:
UGA leads the series 28-2. UGA has been to the NCAA tournament 25 times, Tech only 4. UGA has been to the Final Four 5 times, Tech none.
UGA vs GT in Women’s Softball:
UGA leads the series 15-7.
UGA vs GT in Men’s Tennis:
UGA has won 23 straight and 48 of the last 49.
UGA vs GT in Women’s Tennis:
UGA leads the series 15-2.

I put this one last because GT boasts about their great B-Ball program. However they only lead the series 100-84 and we have won 6 of the last 9 vs them. Also, for a supposed B-Ball powerhouse, they have only been to the NCAA tournament 15 times with 2 Final Four appearances and NO TITLES. UGA is not that far behind, we have been to 10 NCAA tournaments and 1 Final Four.

To hell with georgia. Proud to be a tech alumni and fan! No matter how many stats u put up. There is a heritage and pride at tech that uga can never match. Anyone can be a uga fan and in fact it seems like nearly everyone in this state is for no other reason other than because they vote like there friends vote. That’s weak. Proud to be a Tech fan!

you divide the number of wins by the number of games in the streak and multiply by 100.. soo… 1/1 = 100%… i realize you never went to school but hopefully that helps

Well nerds helper. Lets start by defining “streak.” Straight from Webster’s Dictionary, “An UNINTERRUPTED series.” Therefore, it would not be a streak if it was not 100%, the 100% theme is implied in streak. Good try though NERDS!!!

Well if you also look up there, I did not ask about how percentages work. I asked “What a 100% streak means” and I still have no idea what it means. As I explained before any streak is a consecutive series of events, obviously it is 100%. You Tech fans are among the most delusional people in America when it comes to sports and just life in general.

Tech won or tied the series for 14 straight years, from 1987 through 2000. And I believe we won the season series in 2002, a year we eliminated you from the post season. I understand your excitement for tonight’s win since it is the first one in a major sport this year. I’ll take a win in FB, a win in BB, and a split in baseball any time. That’s what happened THIS year.

Ha, Florida runs a modified triple option offense and has won how many national championships? GT has a very good chance of winning the big one, after all thats why Paul Johnson came to Tech, not to build a good football team, but to build a dynasty. He will stop at nothing less than perfection.

oh well, the series is tied 1-1 and Tech will still probably get a national seed and host throughout the postseason. Good crowd tonight at the game, looked to be evenly split 50-50 with fans from both teams representing, a great night for baseball.

Good idea let Tech host it cause if Georgia in it coach hall will choke it….like he do anyway excuse will follow as he explain why we choke um blew the Ncaa regional here again.what should be done is play the Ncaa Regional at Turner field and show the Triple-A braves oh wait Major league team how its done…But want happen Booby cox would frown seein a near sellout here for Ncaa regionals and finals here…where his class A nitwits get less people in turner field…Home of the chokers of the 90’s n 2000 to 2005….
