Anything can happen in baseball, and usually does…… UGAG could win very easily, the two teams are very similar in respect to players…

The game will be good one; like all good rivalry games. I just hope it’ll be a repeat of the “game” in Athens from earlier this season.

This is UGAgs biggest game of the year and GT uses it as a breather from the toughest Baseball conference in the land. This is the only time a UGAg player gets to play in a Major League Park.

It will be close till Roddy Jones comes in and does some pinch running.

It would be just like the mutt program to pull this game out their arse. They just came off an EIGHT game losing streak. Eight games!!! Now who was overrated AGAIN???

JUST LIKE FOOTBALL!!! JUST LIKE FOOTBALL!!!

Tech should slap these clowns around handily but no one ever sweeps this series and Tech has a hard time at the Ted. We’ll see what happens.

You make a good point Jethro. Danny Hall likes to pitch our subs against the fleabags too.

Maybe we should get Josh Nesbitt to pitch. nah, I forgot, he doesn’t have to throw the ball to beat UGAg.

ROBERSON, HOW ABOUT COMMENTING ON TWO TECH SIGNEES WINNING TWO INDIVIDUAL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TRACK AND FIELD. STEPHEN HILL SET A NEW STATE RECORD IN THE LONG JUMP 25′8″ AND WON THE 300 HURDLES(HE AND MILLER GROVE ALSO WON THE TEAM TITLE IN TRACK AND BASKETBALL, HE WAS THE BACK COURT MATE WITH TECH’S POINT GUARD SIGNEE) AND DANIEL DRUMMOND WON BOTH THE SHOT AND DISCUS FOR FLOWERY BRANCH. BODES WELL WHEN YOU RECRUIT GREAT ATHLETES FROM WINNING PROGRAMS.

Who was it in the CWS championship game last year? Did I miss something or were the Jackets ranked No. 1 at any time this year? Let’s face it, this will be a good game. You juvenile delinquents love to show your immaturity on these blogs, don’t you? Stick to engineering and leave the pathetic remarks for each other.

Geez you dawg fans love to live in the past don’t you. BTW your #1 ranking in baseball was only there because of a very weak schedule in the begining of the season. A team that was ranked #1 in the nation should never lose by double digit runs to Jacksonville State or go on a 8 game losing streak.

As an LSU fan let me say Geaux Jackets!

Well, Gordon and Josh aren’t currently playing in the majors but Mitchell Boggs and Jeff Keppinger certainly are, with Clint Sammons already having spent time in the bigs this season. Gordon and Josh will very likely be called up in September.

What exactly is your point, because it seemed to be insinuating that GT is the only program in the state with major league talent. Sorry, nerd, but Tech has long since been passed in that category. By all means, though, keep living on Texiera and Varitek’s legacies if it makes you feel any better.

Finally, we speak of a man’s sport: base-ball. I hit the leathers around in my day and pounded a mitt with all of my manhood. The smell of the grass and bush. The sturdy wood.

Rounders, we often called it in my day. “Off to play me some rounders, mum!” we’d shout over the evening whistle as we left our posts at the mill covered in saw dust and memories of fingers lost.

Three-fingers Brown could toss a drop pitch like no one. We’d call that a bottom bender. Two-eyed Smith would hit them into the air – we called that a can of air corn. Or simply a can of air. Our mitts would be worn, true and comfortable like a lady part.

Thirty years now since the end of the war of northern aggression, can we finally unify our dear state?

Let us put our differences aside and line up the best 9 young men in this great state of Georgia and take on all comers!

Murton (Technology man) in right field, Taylor (University man) in left. Let Rowland and Cerione wrestle for center. Scout the second-tier programs (Georgia Southern, Columbus Tech, Georgia State, and DeVry) for a worthy backup. Imagine our potential. What would that starting line be? Ponder that, inter-net blogger posters.

Shame that petty differences of academic disciplines prevents our great state from its rightful place atop the thrower’s mound.

Don’t muff it.

Corrections:

Third paragraph: DeVry is a third tier program. It’s reference should be stricken and replaced with Valdosta State University.

Forth paragraph: The plural noun “differences” requires a plural verb. As such, “prevents” should be stricken and replaced with “prevent”.

Fifth paragraph: Reference to “muff” should be replaced with “clam”.
