Yet another article that shows even people who know nothing about CPH can tell that he sucks as a coach: http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Portsmouth-Invitational-Tournament-All-First-Team-3180/

"Aminu didn’t play a very big role this season at Georgia Tech—in fact, he came off the bench for the team’s final 12 games. The fact that he struggled to make an impact on a team that finished last in the ACC and posted a 12-19 record is a bit of a red flag, but as we learned the hard last year with the way Anthony Morrow panned out, players from this team need to be looked at a more in-depth, especially ones who are only 21 years old.

Comparing the way Aminu played at Portsmouth with what we can now see from his film at Georgia Tech reveals a pretty stark contrast—it doesn’t seem like he was utilized very well at all in college from what we can tell. Aminu was an absolute devastating force as a pick and roll finisher for his Norfolk Naval Shipyard team—thanks to his tremendous combination of size, length, terrific hands and excellent mobility. At Georgia Tech he was barely used in this fashion at all—just 4.3% of his offensive possessions came on the pick and roll. They looked incredibly disorganized in the film we took in, with no point guard, no system, and very little ball-movement. It appeared that Aminu often was asked to play very far from the basket, and pretty much all of his shots were opportunities that he was forced to create on his own."

Did you say he is 6 Ft 10 and 230 not enough muscle for the NBA. He might make a top 30 pick but I do not think so. Stay one more year at Tech and be on a team that beats somebody. I could then see a 10year NBA career rather than 3 and done maybe. .

Tokyo: Respect your opinion. Your posts are always good.

But, I stood next to Nesbitt last year. I am just under 6', and he was not taller than me. His throwing motion is not a quick release (somewhat sidearm), and yes he is fast, but he does not have Vick-like speed. I think he might be a better running back in the NFL. But with all of that said, I am rooting for him, and if he wants to play QB in the NFL, I hope he has tremendous success.

I agree completely with your comments regarding CPH.

Go Jackets!!

Bamawreck, I don't quite agree about Nesbitt. The dude passed for 65% efficiency and 3,000 yards his senior season. He's got a cannon. He runs like the wind. Even though he has had some durablitity issues, he's one of the rare QBs that will play in the League and take less of a beating than he did in college. By the way, he's 6'1" 215. If he were 6'3" he'd be a little better off, but he's no Joe Hamilton. If he can get to 55% completions, he'll be a 6th rounder. If he can get to 60%, he'll be a 3rd rounder.

Regardless of the differences between the college game and the pro game, if you've got as many NBA players as CPH has had on his team, you ought to have taken them to a sweet 16 at least. Any word on Lawal going pro?

Born2Buzz, if we don't go dancing next year, we'll see if Hewitt is a class guy (which I think he is) and that will be by resigning

Aminu will make it in the Association. He's 6'-10" and can run the floor. And realize that the guy has only been playing basketball about 6 years, not since he was 8 years old like most kids these days.

CPH has had plenty of talent. Way to much talent to be the last place team in the ACC. Next year is it for him. Another sub .500 conference record and missing the NCAA tourney and DRad will have no choice but to eat the buy out and bring in somebody new. Too bad, cause CPH is a class guy and a credit to the Institute. But he's paid a lot of money to win, not just be a class guy.
