Georgia State will name the locker room at its practice facility after Bill Curry.
Curry, the architect and coach of the program, is retiring after the season.
The announcement was made before Saturday’s game against Old Dominion at the Georgia Dome. Athletic director Cheryl Levick unveiled a sign that said William “Bill” Curry locker room.
Curry was hired in 2008 and has guided the team to a 10-21 record.

First thing I thought when I saw CL unveil the sign…
“Interesting tribute, considering the building will be gone in a few years.”

Well, that’s better. I must have missed that in the announcement.
But why not the training facility as a whole? That’s what I meant. Is it already named?

Probably would have been a more significant acknowledgement, if the program were more successful. Doesn’t look good when you pass on talent, that comes back to beat you. ie: ODU
