Georgia State was picked to finish eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association preseason men’s basketball poll released today.
The Panthers, 22-12 last year, return one starter, point guard Devonta White, and key reserves Rashaad Richardson and James Vincent. White, a junior, was named to the preseason All-CAA second team. He averaged 12.9 points and 2.9 assists per game last year. The Panthers will open at Duke on Nov. 9.
Drexel, which returns most of the team that went 29-7 last year, was predicted to finish first by the league’s coaches, media relations directors and media members. (The AJC doesn’t vote in these types of polls).

Laughable that Manny Atkins is getting no love. Very good offensive weapon, excellent shooter and 6′6 difference maker. He’s played 56 games in his career for Va Tech.
Cannot wait to treat each and every CAA team as a message.
Open Scrimmage at the Sports Arean this Saturday at 9am. Looking forward to seeing the team.

Wrong Doug the CAA preseason men’s basketball poll wants the Panthers to finish 8th or last, but a change is coming. Hunter will have them ready. This season is going to be epic.

They had to pick us that low. One they hope we are that bad, two we have so much turnover on the roster and a lot of unknowns, but truth be told this team even though they are younger will be more talented, athletic, and better than last years team…the record just may not show it because of how difficult the schedule is compared to last year.
I can’t wait! I got my season tickets! Get yours! Best buy in town,

Very telling when other schools, or should I say a certain school is always chiming in on GSU blogs. Just wow!
