Georgia State and Tennessee will kick off at 4 p.m. at Neyland Stadium on Sept. 8. It was one of several kickoff times released today.
This will mark the second time the Panthers have played a school from the SEC. They were beaten by Alabama in 2010.
Neyland is one of the largest stadiums in college football with a capacity exceeding 100,000 seats. The game will be live on pay-per-view.
In other news:
GSU’s game at William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. will be at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29. (If you like golf or good food, make sure you make this road trip. Duke of Gloucester street has some excellent colonial-era restaurants. You’ll need a reservation. As for golf, so many fantastic courses are there.)
GSU’s game at Rhode Island will be at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13. The regular-season finale at Maine will start at 2 p.m.
Here is GSU’s schedule with the known kickoff times:
Aug. 30 S.C. State 7:30 p.m.
Sept 8 at Tennessee 4 p.m.
Sept. 15 UTSA 6 p.m.
Sept. 22 Richmond TBA
Sept. 29 at William and Mary 7 p.m. (CSS)
Oct. 6. New Hampshire TBA
Oct. 13 at Rhode Island 1 p.m.
Oct. 20 Villanova (Homecoming) TBA
Oct. 27 at James Madison TBA
Nov. 3 Old Dominion TBA
Nov. 10 at Maine 2 p.m.
