Because it doesn’t yet have a defensive coordinator, Georgia State will move the start of its spring football practice to March 14. It will end Friday, April 6.
Spring practice was originally scheduled to run March 6-24.
However, John Thompson’s decision to resign and take the defensive coordinator job at Arkansas State has forced coach Bill Curry to change his plans. He said that the team could hold spring practice without a defensive coordinator, though he said it wasn’t ideal.
Practice will include a scrimmage at the team’s practice facility, as originally planned, on March 31.

Also, Georgia State will need defense and Eric Buckner to win the CAA tournament.

So does this lead one to believe that the DC is from outside the staff?

So, when’s the spring game? Hahahaha I hope moving practice won’t interfere with final exams.

So what exactly is the excuse now for not having a Spring Game at the Dome? So confusing keeping the lies straight I am sure.

Good thing the FBS stuff came out before this – since this pretty much eliminates any conflict with the Dome schedule for a Spring Game.

Doug,
Sorry I’m to focused on the CAA MBB Tournament right now, but could you find out who our new DC is going to be? Do you think the reason spring football practice was pushed back has to do with a DC from outside being hired. Can you contact Midget and see if he was offered the position?
