Another great win for the guys. I just love how they continue to fight and get stronger as the game progresses. On to South Carolina State. Go Panthers!

Ali put the team on his back in the second half and was on fire! This bunch is slowly learning how to close teams out late. Let’s make it four at SC State!!

Incredible game. No band and smaller attendance (due to thanksgiving i would imagine) but still the fans got into it and the team flamed Liberty. Onward!

Our guys closed it out. I kept seeing ghosts of last year when we would lose our 2nd quarter lead close to the end of the game. Panthers hung tough with a lot of help from Ali hot hand when the Panthers out scored Liberty 25 to 5 points in the closing 8.5 minutes.

Awesome finish last night. Great energy by Ali to close out the game. I think we are going to be very competitive in the CAA this year but we definately are going to need to be more strategic on offense as these games are going to get much tougher and the 3 ball won’t be there every night. Great win Panthers!!

We are beating the teams we are supposed to beat. Big difference from last year.

SCState is terrible. If we don’t win by 20+, it will be embarrassing.

Based on what GState? We won 12 games last year and SC State is a above average team. If you are going to be embarrassed because we dont beat teams by 20 then you have a long season in front of you…

South Carolina State scored 38 points against Virginia a few weeks ago. Not in the first half, in the whole game. They have won ONE D1 game in regulation this season. They are 319th in the nation in assists per game and 261st in field goal percentage.

A win by 20 or more isn’t asking too much.

SC State does have an inflated RPI due to playing at UVA and at #10 Baylor. They have a very good scoring guard in Brandon Riley. James Fields is going to get the task of shutting down Mr. Riley.

On to Orangeburg!

Sounds an awful lot like Southern last year and we became their lone D1 win up to that point. When did we get this attitude that we SHOULD beat teams in any sport except golf?!

I will be in attendance supporting and hoping for a win, but having expectations in sports only leads to disappointments I have found…

@Nick, Good points. It will be interesting if this team is truly successful this year how they handle it night in and night out. If they consistently play well win or lose I will be happy. I would rather lose close games to tough teams than crumble in the 2nd half like last year. So far I’m optimistic.

@Nick, Drexel who is favored to win the CAA only scored 35 points against Virginia in a lost.
