Guard Joe Gilbert, who was suspended for the game against Murray State for violating a team rule, has been reinstated to the team.
Questionable for this week’s game against South Carolina State are:
Albert Wilson (hamstring)
Emmanuel Ogbuehi (ankle)
Kalan Jenkins (lower leg)

Thanks for the heads up Doug. I really hope this helps us pull off a win at SC State.

We really need a win. If we can pull one out either in this game or the USA one, we should be on track for a winning season. Then again at this point anything can happen.

Not familiar with SC State. How good are they this year?

3-3 and play a few good schools and a ton of crap schools from the Eastern seaboard. Howard, North Carolina A&T, and powerhouses like Bethune-Cookman. Never heard of them? The schools are in a league with small historically black college. If a school like GSU with 30,000 plus can’t beat this team then who knows about the program. Looks like Bill Curry and Andy Reid will soon be broadcasting together.

by the way…. Doug I enjoy reading your updates from up here. Big CAA fan. You seem to keep your chin up in reporting on this trainwreck. Good reporting and I hope it turns around but it has to be tough finding anything positive to write about now– there is always next year

Also helpful to get these updates here in Kentucky. I don’t think we can really judge GSU’s program until they reach the 5 year mark. We should see steady progress and become competitive in the CAA by the fifth year. I don’t know if Curry is the right coach, but GSU should be a successful program.

S.C. State is a decent team, one that GSU can’t take lightly.

I agree with Pennsylvania CAA fan.
I appreciate the coverage you provide…. I just wish the panthers could play better.
Very difficult to remain patient.

Trainwreck is a bit of a stretch, guys. We’re not doing so hot on the field, but that’s not all it’s about. The program is not a trainwreck in the second year of its existence. It’s going through some growing pains.

Tuscon…agreed.
After each loss I put that game behind me and look forward with a positive outlook.

South Carolina State is big and brutal. Better fasten the chin strap to play with them on the road. This game is pivotal for the season.

I was at the GSU basketball tip off breakfast yesterday and discussed the football season with another supporter. A big supporter. He said, you know mike, with the tough times that our football team is going through, this is the time we need to embrace our football program. I thought he was right on the money with that. We don’t kill our wounded, and we don’t eat our dead. Let’s stand with our team and be be true supporters. Thanx for the coverage Doug….btw, CRH is an absolute hoot! Not to gloss over fb, but bb is gonna be a lot of fun this year!
