sorry for the delay.
i thought i’d opened this up, but hadn’t.
we’re joining action midway through GSU’s first series.
October 2nd, 20101:17 pm
Looking good so far
October 2nd, 20101:20 pm
i’d say so. touchdown for gsu. i see 1) little throwing with accuracy and to largely open receivers; 2) ballcarriers breaking tackles.
October 2nd, 20101:22 pm
interesting morehead state came out running twice in a row (once with success). we’ll see if they keep trying it.
October 2nd, 20101:26 pm
Zach Lewis does not look like a 300 yards per game passer so far.
October 2nd, 20101:34 pm
How does the crowd look? Wish I was there. Listening to the game on 1160 am and checking the thread.
Star is playing
October 2nd, 20101:36 pm
And h threw an interception. And there’s your answer
Interception??? Star . . . you got your chance.
October 2nd, 20101:40 pm
fyi: kelton hill had been playing the third series of each half, so jackson was taking his place. he was under pressure, but not a great decision with the ball. my guess is we’ll see him third series of second half.
October 2nd, 20101:47 pm
i’m guessing on the crowd here. the student section is about half full i’d say. fairly thin on the morehead state side. i can’t see the home stands but assume it’s fairly full.
October 2nd, 20101:49 pm
Were really dominating this game. Maybe we found how were supposed to pluy
October 2nd, 20101:59 pm
i think the lessons about playing like you practice finally hit home after last week.
October 2nd, 20102:18 pm
big play by nate anthony. recovered fumble leads to score. from 17-3 and morehead state having momentum to 23-3 and game possibly over.
October 2nd, 20102:36 pm
30-3 just before halftime. this is how homecoming games go.
October 2nd, 20102:49 pm
if you’re at home, you’re missing the gsu marching band using halftime to introduce its medley of cheers to alumni and fans.
October 2nd, 20102:52 pm
morehead state has run the ball 15 times and thrown it 14. eagles are usually a lot more pass-heavy. apparently, they think they can exploit gsu’s relatively weak run defense. hasn’t worked so far, which probably has something to do with morehead state’s run offense not being so hot in the first place.
October 2nd, 20102:53 pm
gsu winning time of possession, 16:51-:13:05 (not sure what happened to the last four seconds). but anyway, a good sign for gsu. panthers have been getting crushed in that category because defense hasn’t been able to get off field.
October 2nd, 20102:56 pm
Man. This is awesome. If we can play like this constantly we can be a really decent team
October 2nd, 20103:24 pm
i’d agree. i think this could be a turning point for the team. some winnable games ahead.
star jackson in.
October 2nd, 20103:25 pm
Star is back in. Let’s hope he moves the ball this time
October 2nd, 20103:38 pm
attendance 15,624. third behind shorter and jack. state.
October 2nd, 20103:39 pm
i think star may go the rest of the way. neither kelton nor drew look like they’re expecting to go in.
October 2nd, 20104:16 pm
Sounds like Bill Curry had the guys ready for a real up beat go get them game.; He keeps this up we will soon see the stands full of students and alumni.
October 2nd, 20105:04 pm
Great game guys! Good job GSU. We’re still undefeated on homecoming!
October 2nd, 20105:07 pm
3-2. It’s a winning season thus far
October 2nd, 20105:30 pm
Great game. MS was definitely outmatched — but then so were a few previous opponents and we know how that went. Even if they keep playing like this I don’t think we’ll hit the 30K + of the first game any time soon. But the folks that were there seemed to be having a fine time, me included!
October 2nd, 20106:06 pm
Little is looking real sharp. Jackson may have to wait for another big lead to get in the game!
Maybe Savanah st let’s us get off to a quick start.
