I’m about to head out the door for the dome. Let me know if you’re out there. I didn’t do much of a job keeping the blog updated last week, for which I apologize.
As we get to kickoff, give me a prediction.
September 18th, 201011:53 am
I hope Coach Curry plays Star Jackson because his athleticism could be the difference between winning and losing. Go Panthers!
September 18th, 201012:00 pm
I hope Coach puts the best players on the field. We’ll see!
September 18th, 201012:13 pm
It’s gonna be bad today for Ga State. You guys should really know where you’re program stands after today. I’ll pull for guys the rest of the season…just not today.
September 18th, 201012:19 pm
Please forgive the grammar error….rough night partying in the ATL…don’t get ta see the city much, ya’ll….
September 18th, 201012:57 pm
at 12:55, kinda sparse in the dome. i’d say maybe 750 in the student section, maybe 5,000 (a very rough guess) altogether.
September 18th, 20101:15 pm
JSU QB getting all sorts of time to pass, marchign down field. 1-10, gsu 11.
September 18th, 20101:19 pm
JSU 3, GSU 0. 13 plays, 69 yards. but GSU after JSU 1st down from GSU 11-yard line. Could be worse. midway first quarter. the run defense looks a lot better, but Marques Ivory is getting a lot of time to throw.
September 18th, 20101:20 pm
Nice stop GSU….Nice….
Ken…What”s up with the #’s in the stands???
September 18th, 20101:24 pm
JSU’s defense just looked really bad…I mean really bad…
September 18th, 20101:29 pm
GSU has got to schedule around Saturday FB. They need to look at Friday or Thursday night games. I’m an alum and fan, but I just dont think GSU can compete yet with teams that have been around for a hundred years. The crowd looks terrible on TV.
September 18th, 20101:36 pm
GSU – 7
jsu – three
September 18th, 20101:37 pm
Nice 1st qtr for GSU…JSU looks dismal…no running game, and we waited too late to bring #11 Blanchard in the game. Gotta get the big head deflated a bit guys!!!!
September 18th, 20101:38 pm
JSU, I’d guess 10,000, maybe? i can’t see all of the lower bowl.
end of first quarter, 7-3. (darren mccray ran a reverse 41 yards for touchdown.)
September 18th, 20101:39 pm
The big head does everyone in. I hope you guys don’t take your asprin and keep your head inflated as this would be a great win.
Does anyone have a link to the game? It’s kinda hard to view while living up in New England.
September 18th, 20101:42 pm
touchdown, JSU. Marques Ivory 3rd-and-goal pass for score. 10-7, JSU. GSU D is making work, but can’t get off the field. They’ve been on the field for 24 plays already. Panthers need to grind some clock here.
September 18th, 20101:43 pm
don’t know what to tell you english. maybe try CSS website?
September 18th, 20101:44 pm
Just heard JSU has had the ball 12+ minutes and we’ve only had it less than 2 minutes so far. I like that we score quick but feel the clock management will wear out the defense. Let’s go State!
September 18th, 20101:50 pm
Drew Little looks way, way better than last week. his pass to Bo Schlechter was a dart against tight coverage. Schlechter’s first career catch by the way after switching from qb.
September 18th, 20101:57 pm
10-10 our first down. This is looking really good
September 18th, 20102:02 pm
3 and out for GSU. that’s not what the defense was hoping for. plus the field got flipped.
September 18th, 20102:10 pm
Whistles being blown all over the place! Some Zebras were spotted in the stands! It sounds like everyone wants to have a say in the matter for GSU Football!
September 18th, 20102:12 pm
If keeping up is all we need to prove ourselves were not doing badly
September 18th, 20102:15 pm
Hows that student section? Seems pretty spacious on TV….Hows it look live?
I like how we’re playing but need to get a scoring drive going again.
@itsmeagain – who are you rooting for? GSU or JSU?
September 18th, 20102:16 pm
@GSUAlum – do you have a web link for the game?
September 18th, 20102:17 pm
I agree, itsmeagain (who i trust is for GSU).
ALUM – i’d say it’s kind of like last week. maybe 3,000 and I think I’m being generous.
September 18th, 20102:19 pm
No, I’m watching on TV.
I just do not get why the students are not showing up. If I was still in school I would be there, and I would guess that most of my friends would be too.
September 18th, 20102:23 pm
Great 1st half for GSU…I’m out…Go COCKS!!!!
i find it odd, also. maybe not a lot of students are football fans or GSU fans, specifically.
I agree with you GSUAlum. If I were in Atlanta I’d be at the game.
September 18th, 20102:25 pm
this is kind of cool, though. Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt, Bill Curry’s quarterback at Tech, has one free weekend from now until the end of December. He’s spending it here. He’s in Curry’s box.
September 18th, 20102:29 pm
I really think the Thursday night game is the way to go. Less competition.
September 18th, 20102:32 pm
The more i go to these games the more i realise that it’s gonna be a probably next year before we get the students really into this. But as a team I think were definitely improving. Btw, jsu’s band is ridiculous
That’s impressive Ken. One of the many reasons why Curry is the right guy to get GSU off the ground.
@GSUAlum – we need to be better at our scheduling. Timing is limited for football reservations in Georgia so we have to improve.
September 18th, 20102:33 pm
Anybody have any photos of the game so far? Ken do you have any pictures you can post via twitter or an AJC Facebook accound?
September 18th, 20103:04 pm
(GSU in the Red Zone)
i erred about whisenhunt. he’s here for cardinals-falcons tomorrow. my bad.
english – i haven’t seen a photographer, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one here.

We’re in business – http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-ncaa-college-sports.php?w=1
September 18th, 20103:19 pm
Thanks Ken for the photo links.
September 18th, 20103:21 pm
What the hell was that?
September 18th, 20103:26 pm
Great stop in the Red Zone only to yield a FG.
September 18th, 20103:29 pm
good on ya, english.
ttenace announced at 16K. students just over 3,000. in terms of actual bodies in the stands, i think it’s a little high. maybe 12K?
GSU Panther Pride
September 18th, 20103:38 pm
Woot! 20/20 baby!
so i guess maybe lambuth could beat ole miss?
September 18th, 20103:39 pm
This is incredible
September 18th, 20103:40 pm
That’s what the math would suggest. I’m loving me some Evans right now. What a run!!!
September 18th, 20103:42 pm
That stiff arm was awesome. Great run!
September 18th, 20103:49 pm
Hold ‘em, Hold ‘em!!
