Predictions: East Paulding, Grayson will bring home region titles

Eighteen teams will take 9-0 records into the final weekend of the regular season, but at least one will lose when unbeatens East Paulding and Allatoona meet to decide the Region 5-AAAAA championship. Both teams have explosive offenses led by outstanding running games, but look for East Paulding’s defense to make the difference as the Raiders bring home the title. Also, expect Grayson to emerge as the 8-AAAAAA champion after the Rams take care of Brookwood and South Gwinnett knocks off Parkview.

Congratulations go out to Eric Berge of Martinez, who was last week’s winner in the High School Football Pickoff contest. Berge was one of two contestants to correctly pick the winner in 14 of 15 games and won the tiebreaker for the closest guess of the score in the Warner Robins-Northside game.
