@ All the players on these list. I saw each and everyone of you play, unless you did not play vs Lovejoy. Be proud of what you accomplished. I know it did not end as many of you would have liked. You have earned a place in the books for all time by making this list. Congratulations.

For those of you that will be moving on to the next level, keep up the hard work and keep you eyes affixed to your goal. For those that are moving on but will not play ball elsewhere, remember the things you learned from the team experience. Not the football but the feel of family and all that goes with it. For those that will be back, I look forward to another year of watching you do your thing on the football field. Work hard and dedicate yourself to be better than before.

I wonder why Lovejoys Qb wasn’t on this List? His numbers were way better than the guys on the list!

Political correctness. They have to spread it out. Neely’s numbers were better. Although the Qb from Morrow was probably more athletic and willing to run which made him more valuable to them as a dual threat. He deserves to be here though I’m sure 1st team is not the place.

I feel as if Derico Tiley from Lovejoy deserves at least an honorable mention, but I guess you can’t go off of potential alone. He’ll should be a beast next year, though.

There are quite a few that deserve it but got no love. Trevino Huff from DHHS led them in receptions and rushing for half the season before breaking his collarbone. He was high on the stat sheets for all DeKalb athletes. Given his size and what he did accomplish, coupled with the fact that he will be back certainly deserves some recognition.

Rico should have played more. They did not use him properly. I agree we can’t go from potential.

I just think its only fair that Neely gets his recognition too, b/c Preston couldn’t throw the ball to himself @sportsnut

That was my point. Some who should make it, can’t. Honorable mention would have been nice but nothing. I guess Preston is better than we thought. Pretty fast too, to be able to throw it and run and catch it. Nah, just joking. We have to admit that this is life and we can’t always get what we want. I say lets be happy with what we did accomplish and come back for more. I have a good feeling about next season.

I’m sure some of these kids are good. But I see some names that wouldn’t make second team middle school. You coaches need to stop your favoritism.

Any other team and Rico Tilley would have been one of the top backs in the state.

If you havent watched extensive film on every team in the region then you cannot say who deserves to be on the list. The coaches are inside the game, thats why they get to decide who makes what. All you armchair coaches go watch ESPN
