When I made my comment yesterday about recruiting in high schools around the Atlanta area I was totally unaware of the Grady High School situation. Just wanted to make that clear. I will, however repeat that it is probably going on a lot more in specific high schools than the GHSA will ever admit to. I think they just prefer to “turn a blind eye” to it, because it could be a huge mess. Somewhat like hitting a hornet’s nest with a baseball bat!

@Patrick ==

If you have specific allegations, take them to the GHSA. If you don’t, then put a sock in it, and quit making blanket allegations and insinuations of wrong-doing.

RfmN, I have a right to express my opinion on here, and say what I feel is going on the same as you and anybody, so why don’t YOU stick your thumb in it and then suck on it. You seem to be nothing more than the “local blog bully” from what I have seen, so take a hike. That’s my opinion, and others too, so if you don’t agree, just don’t read them. You do realize freedom of speech is still in vogue in the USA don’t you?

@Patrick – I have to agree with Rob. Either put up or shut up! If you’ve got proof, put it on the table or give it to the GHSA. Contrary to what some thing, they DO pay attention and will do something. Otherwise, quit smearing programs that beat yours (all of N Ga) with vague generalities. IT makes you look like a sore loser.

These message forums are fun and keep us who travel somewhat informed and engaged into local events.

I promise you the AJC doesn’t make a wooden nickle from these and it’s probably only here just from a desire to give the readers another little bit of icing on the cake in making a great sports section.

I like cak, so don’t screw it up with slanderous, unfounded accusations because I can tell you two things the internet is not nearly as anonymous as you may think and the moment these forums become a liability poof “they gone.”

only one more week of high school football! Good Luck to everyone left, except Griffin! Sorry Bears, hope you fumble every kickoff( ’cause we’ll be doing that a lot), drop every pass and wear your punter out! Just kidding! Hoping for a 4th quarter game and Class AAAA blows the roof off the Dome! GO TROJANS!!!!

@ TROJAN FAN – I count on Carrollton/Griffin playing the most exciting game of the finals. They match up well – Griffin even used to run the Wing T until about 4 years ago. With no real history between the teams, it should offer up some fun plays. Good luck if you’re heading to the Dome.
