Miller Grove, welcome to 6A. This is what happens when you play against the best every year. Have fun in 5A.

Steve –

Great point. I was at the game, and Miller Grove did not impress me. I don’t know if they had injuries they were dealing with or what, but they did not have a strong offensive showing.

Very perceptive Fin. Miller Grove only dressed 1 of their normal starters for the game due to injuries sustained by the other 4 in Friday night’s game against SWD.

@Steve Daniels, Fin

Since its inception, Miller Grove has always played the higher class,and has beaten Wheeler before in previous seasons, as they did the same against Milton, Norcross, Peatchtree Ridge,etc.

As expected, team’s have played MG very tough, and will continue to; however, the key is that MG always plays the toughest schedule, in preparation for Region and State games.

I was not there, so I cannot comment on the outcome, but I know the Wolverines will regroup.

Congrats to Wheeler and coach Lipscomb (not sure if he is still there).

I saw Miller Grove against Luella. The same kids were on the court vs Wheeler. Both Point Guards and their athletic Bigs. Not sure who was hurt but the starting 5 appeared to be the same. Wheeler was just to big. Had the Wildcat’s guards play a good game it could have gotten out of hand. Especially after a 10-0 run to start the game.

Mr. Wolverine, your statement about only dressing 1 of their regular starters Saturday is untrue as I have seen MG 3 times and their regular starters played Saturday versus Wheeler. Wheeler’s length was just too much for them.

That is the same starting lineup MG has used all season….they will win 5A, not sure that Wheeler will win 6A though…..

5a is so weak miller grove will win it again. It’s no 1 in there to compete. It was the same way last year they lost to columbia they seen to struggle with top teams. But by 5a been so sleep they will walk threw 5a again. And I said wheeler will win 6a before the season even started. And I’m a south atlanta fan. I like us to win 4a this year to by the way.
