Someone should notify Maxwell that Norcross beat Collins Hill 28-0….Also North Gwinnett beat Camden County 34 -14…. your formula should be adjusted slightly….(IMHO)

@Cool_Coach1: “Someone should notify Maxwell that Norcross beat Collins Hill 28-0….Also North Gwinnett beat Camden County 34 -14…. your formula should be adjusted slightly….(IMHO)”

I show Norcross over Collins Hill 28-0, but I’m curious as to how would you reconcile it with Collins Hill over North Gwinnett 53-28 and North Gwinnett over Norcross 36-17 with no other GHSA losses. Most likely, all three teams are fairly well matched, which is reflected in their ratings.

Also, I’m missing the point about North Gwinnett and Camden County. I have North Gwinnett ranked three places higher.

Just curious as to why Tucker is rated 7th in your poll? We are behind TCC

@Loren I guess my issue is having teams rated higher than you that you’ve beaten head to head…Norcross has not lost a game since the NG loss and beat CH SOUNDLY(they didn’t score)You do a pretty good job…but hey you’re only human..We plan to do a lot of “reconciling” in the next few weeks.

@Tiger4Life: “Just curious as to why Tucker is rated 7th in your poll?”

Currently it’s schedule strength. They are rated about 33 points higher than their opponents and have won by about 36 points per game. However, based on Tucker’s past I would expect a marked jump once the playoffs start.

Will the rankings show Gainesville jumping to #1 after they destroy MLK? When we beat MLK by 50 to 55 points wouldnt that show how weak that region really is and be enough for us to get the 4 points needed to take 1st place?

I guess it does’nt matter. Gainesville will beat them all one cup cake at a time!!

Gainesville-Steve

November 13th, 2013

and by all, I mean Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, region 4, Region 5 (for sure), region 6 and region 7.

More specifically:

R-6 MLK will lose by at least 6 TDs
R-5 S. Paulding will not even score
R-1 Lee County will not evenb score (if they show up)
R-3 Ware will be so scared from last year that they may not show up AGAIN to be beat by 3 TDs
R-2 NSWR will b too happy from beating Tucker to be any competition for us. Will be beat by 3 TDs R-6 Tucker being nice by mentioning you. You won’t make it past Ware or NSWR anyway

and whoever is unluckey enough to have to face Gainesville from the other side of the brackets ……………….you too will be destroyed!!

Gainesville ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason that Tucker’s schedule strength is rated as kinda soft is that there have been limited games played between Region 6-AAAAA and the other regions. And most of those games were fairly meaningless, meaning those opponents were generally weak. The most significant game was Mays vs. Carver. Mays lost. Carver has had three unimpressive losses. And then Mays finishes second in the region and plays Tucker very close. A computer assessment of scores is not impressed with that.

You dont know us to put that comment out their!! Oh but you will though!!! Gainesville-Steve you need to switch to decaf. Not saying Gainesville won’t have a long playoff run but to say your going to hold several teams scoreless is a bit of a stretch. Of teams with a winning records (5) that Gainesville played, they are giving up an average of 29 ppg. Hardly steller defensive numbers against good offenses which most playoff teams will have.

Get mad all you want……………….I havent been wrong yet!! BOOOM!! Gainesvile scored again

By the way “Elephant-Steve” who are you anyway?? I never saw you on these blogs. Did you just move to Hall County from up North? Are you a Yankee; cause if you were a really Hall County Gainesville fan, you would know…………….Gainesville WINS WINS WINS!!!

You notice that the Mighty “Lying” King guy was too scared to say they would win because he knew better!! Ha HA Ha!! He said the most they would lose by is 10 points. If they even come that close, I will go to the MLK buses and give the coach a $1,000 donation toward the team for next year. We’ll call that the consolation prize for being Gainesville’s first VICTIM.

@Gainesville-Steve

I wish I could be there to look at the fans faces after Elephants first offensive snap. I spent a couple this morning watching a few games.
G-Ville vs Clark Central
G-Ville vs Heritage
Clark Central vs Heritage
F-Branch vs Heritage
F-Branch vs Gainesville

And now I can say this with full confidence..
It will be a CLEAN SWEEP

Tucker over Heritage
Mays over CC
Stephenson over The Branch
MLK over G-Ville

None and I do mean NONE of Region 8 plays defense.

When Norcross lost to North Gwinnett they were still trying to find their identity and struggling with confidence after the ESPN debacle. They were leading North at the half and then the wheels came off. The bought it together and showed it in the way they dominated Collins Hill like no one else has this season. I think Collins Hill may have gained 150 yards in that game. Norcross shot themselves in the foot with penalties in the Ridge game… that game never should have come down to a last minute drive.

If Norcross can keep their penalties to a minimum throughout the playoffs, they will be hard for anyone to beat.

If not…they will be done early…

Friday should be interesting…PAULDING COUNTY enters the playoff’’s well represented with NORTH, SOUTH & EAST all playing…also ALLATOONA is in from Region 5 AAAAA.

If everybody plays as they should (and can) this week I could see:

NORTH as REGION Champions host RIVERWOOD and WINS as the most RIVERWOOD scored on anybody this year was 42 against Sequoyah, but they averaged in the mid to low 30 pts with everyone else. NORTH on the other hand scored 27 against a strong EAST defense and averaged 46+ in the other 9 games! They put mid 50’s against two teams and scored 62 points against playoff contender ALLATOONA!!!

SOUTH will host a home game against SEQUOYAH in a more evenly matched game, both teams averaged close to 40 pts per game in offense but allowed mid to high teens. I give the edge to SOUTH here…watch for the SOUTH “D” to really stuff SEQUOYAH and while maybe not scoring high as they are used, the HOME field advantage helps also. SOUTH in a tight one!

ALLATOONA travels to KELL in what everyone seems to be already giving to KELL from many of the post ALREADY talking about a KELL / MAYS match-up. This one is in my opinion the “Wild card” game as BOTH of these teams can LIGHT UP the scoreboard…take away the EAST game last week and ALLATOONA averaged over 44 pts per game! KELL on the other side did almost the same. SO this one has the making of one of those games that comes down to the 4th qtr and who controls the clock at the end. I may be crazy but I’m gonna call this one a TOSS-UP!!!

NOW we come to the game I am of course heading to see…EAST vs. CREEKVIEW!

CREEKVIEW is a team I don’t know a lot about but they finished at 8 / 2…HOWEVER they lost to KELL a 10 / 0 team and lost to CHEROKEE a 5 / 5 team. They went on to beat SEQUOYAH who finished at 8 / 2 and in the playoffs but then the other 7 WINS were against NORTHVIEW who finished at 5 / 5, OSBORNE at 2 / 8, CAMBRIDGE at 3 / 7, FORSYTH CENTRAL at 2 / 8, NORTH SPRINGS at 1 / 9, SPRAYBERRY at 2 / 8 & RIVER RIDGE at 2 / 8…So have they been tested? It’s hard to tell BUT…

the fly in the ointment is EAST PAULDING who has been a Jekyll & Hyde team, EAST has again played strong “D” in most games and in the last few games saw the kind of offense EAST normally plays. EAST lost it’s starting QB in the first game of the year against NORTH (a loss) and struggled until 5th game of the year when he returned against VILLA RICA. After shutting out VILLA RICA and then beating HIRAM at home the next week things seemed to have turned around…Then came ROME and EAST lost 35 / 27 in a game they absolutely GAVE AWAY!! Turnovers, sloppy play, you name it! That one hurt and then they came home to face SOUTH PAULDING and played strong…game was tied 17 all with 2 minutes to play but EAST lost another close one 24 / 17 in another game they SHOULD HAVE WON! They rebounded against LITHIA SPRINGS and played what was with out a doubt their most complete game of the year last week in the WIN against ALLATOONA.

SO looking forward to this Friday and the game with CREEKVIEW, on paper a team / game EAST should handle and move on to ROUND 2.

So to Recap…

NORTH over RIVERWOOD
SOUTH over SEQUOYAH
EAST over CREEKVIEW
and
ALLATOONA vs. KELL —> TOSS – UP!

TICK…TICK…TICK…BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

GO RAIDERS!!! BEAT CREEKVIEW!!!

You must have been drinking Tiger urine talking about a sweep….and you must have gone bottoms up along with Mighty Lyin King because you are both a little dizzy with your pronostications.

Whaaaat!! Scuse me!, Stephensen will get crushed by the Branch and it aint even gone be funny!
Mays CANNOT deal with CC’s offense! Period!! This aint Reg-6! This here is big boy football!
Tucker might beat Heritage because Heritage do’nt travel well, but you will lose to NSWR or Ware!
MLK……….BOOOOOOOOOM X 7. That’s 7 TDs for those that don’t know.

and I aint no Jab! I only speak the truth. Remember what I said aboyt Gainesville against FB?
I said we would DOMINATE and what did the CHAMPS do? THEY DOMINATED!!!!!!

I heard my boy D-Wat went ballistic on the Branch. MLK you will get worse because you are the outsider. We go a little easy on our region brtehren because we need them to keep their heads up. You know what I mean. This Gainesvilke team is not a 1-Man show like some of you’ll want to say. We have awesome Receivers led by #15 and #19. Our LBs #28 (A BEAST) and #55 (A BEAST and a HITTING ANIMAL) are the best in this state even though they don’t get no love from AJC or anyone else. But you will know this Friday because they are coming at MLK with anger. You’ll been disrespectful for too long! and the RED ELEPHANTS are going to stomp the disrespect out of you’ll one cup cake at a time (SQUISSSSSSSHH!!!) You girlies of Region 5 and the softies from Region 1 and Regions 2. Bring it!! If you dont know about us, JUST ASK WARE!!!!

TDs are still ringing in their ears!!!

Come one, Come all, Gainesville will have a ball………on Yawl
We will beat you with the run, D-Wat will beat you from the Shot-Gun!
55 will blast through your weak O-Line, and Dump your sorry running back’s behind
Then 99 will clean up, the mess as he busts your weak MLK Tackles in their Chests
28 is gonna have you’ll scared, like Ware who in 2012 wished they were dead!
MLK dont want none of us, grab your helmets, with tails between your legs and get back on your bus.
Gainesville will beat Anyone, Bring Buford back cause what you’ll started aint done.
Come Friday night, its gonna be heated as MLK recognizes very early that they are DEFEATED!
N. Paulding, Lee, NSWR and Ware, bring your arses one by one if you dare….
Notice I didnt say Tucker, cause they are a bunch of one trick pony suckers!!
MLK you dont want this beat down, cause D-Wat and crew will score Touchdown, after Touchdown!!

@Watcher you Sir(Ma’am) have a keen eye…If you’re an opponent and you base your strategy/game plan based on those 2 games instead of the body of work I’m afraid you may be unpleasantly suprised. Our tailback may be one of the most underated kids in the state…but before it’s all over I think alot people are going to recognize the talent he (and the rest of the team ) has.

I’m going to tickled pink come Saturday morning with all the excuses from @G-Ville Steve, if he shows back up.
Its all fun and games until your undersized defense has to tackle #33 and your DB’s have to cover as #15 throw 15 yard out from the opposite hash on a line. And your O-line will try there best to block #49. It’s truly going to look like a “Pekingese being mauled by Pitbull”
If you thought Buford was flying around on defense, it’s going to look like the MLK defense have jet packs strapped on. When the ball is hiked they will be having defensive meeting with your QB, and they will not be there to discuss beauty tips! Hard hitting and relentless is what you will be facing, and we all know what happen the last time you guys faced that :-0
9-2 isn’t all that bad, get ready to get that record stitched on your “Letterman Jacket” I know you still wear it LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

@border dweller – The opponents of NG need to view the Mill Creek and Collins Hill games. The NG defense can be had, that much is obvious. Besides, NG has had a way of disappearing beyond the 1st round of the playoffs. I think MC ran over the NG defense and CH passed around and over it.

OK so yesterday I posted I thought tomorrow night would end up:

NORTH over RIVERWOOD
SOUTH over SEQUOYAH
EAST over CREEKVIEW
and
ALLATOONA vs. KELL —> TOSS – UP!

This morning I see Maxwell agrees with 3 of mine as they have:

EAST over CREEKVIEW by only 2…this game should answer many questions about EAST!

NORTH over RIVERWOOD by 16…this could be NORTH in a blowout!

SOUTH over SEQUOYAH by 11…this one could be a LOT closer than that!

KELL over ALLATOONA by 23…23!!!…maybe, but if KELL let’s TOONA hang around till the 4th Qtr. look out this one could get REAL interesting…don’t let TOONA fool you…they CAN SCORE PTS!!!

I notice two other games of interest…they have CLARKE CENTRAL beating MAYS by 5 and FLOWERY BRANCH over “JAB’s” STEPHENSON by 10…let’s hear some comments on these two games NOW!!!

and last but not least they have GAINESVILLE over M.L.KING by 33!!! That’s not a TYPO they say 33…SO where are are the talkers about this game now! WOW! 33 Point spread in a STATE PLAYOFF GAME!!

TICK…TICK…TICK…BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

GO RAIDERS!!! BRING IT HOME, BEAT CREEKVIEW!!

@GwinnettDad– NG has made at least the Qtr-Finals in 5 of the last 7 years including a State Championship appearance in 2007. The 2 years NG lost in the 2nd round they lost to Grayson (2010) & Colquitt County (2011). Is that really disappearing past the first round?

@Flyer – I did say past the first round. If I were a betting man, I would have lost more than my shorts betting on NG. After all, when NG loses, they collapse. As Fred and Grayram have documented, the only close loss in the last 7 years was to Grayson.

I see the spread MLK – 33! I feel honor that we will get an opportunity to play the game. That is ALL we can ask for is an opportunity. But MLK is not under the gun, it’s G’ville. If I was a betting man I would take the points!!!!!!
