So I guess Aquinas’s RB Ruben Garnett was not good enough for a top performance this week. He only rushed for 308 yards and 3 TDs in leading Aquinas to a win over First Pres. and their first ever region title.

Looks like he is certainly deserving…but it is up to his coach to pass along that information. Otherwise, the staff at GHSFD would have no idea he qualifies for the list.

I just added Garnett. Thanks for pointing that out. He wasn’t nominated, but we did have his info when we compiled How the Top 10 Fared in Monday’s newsletter. So we should’ve included it the first time.

I guess Griffin’s coach was remiss in not submitting QB Jaquez Parks, who ran for 108 yards (including a 51-yard TD) and passed for 127 (with a 24-yard TD completion), leading Griffin to their first undefeated regular season and region title since 2009. That’s a shame
