MLK, you have the most talented team in your region but that knuckle head coaching staff is going to lose it for y’all in the playoffs. Your OC is so arrogant about his passing game that he refuses to consistently run those 4 horses in his backfield. Coupled with that huge offensive line and those backs, MLK should punish opposing defenses. I scratch my head when I see that huge line break the huddle and stand up at the line of scrimmage in pass protection for 80% of the plays. That line should be in a 3 point stance drive blocking for at least 50% of the plays.

You certainly have the backs to run behind those beast. Your backs give you a 1,2,3,4 punch and each with a different talent set.

Now, this brings me to your QB. He is one of the most talented kids in the entire state. This kid impresses me with his skill set. He made throws in that Tucker game that left me speechless.

Coach, lose your ego and put those boys in position to win. You are going to need to eat some clock and keep that Gainesville offense off the field. Running the ball with those horses is the best way to do it. It also sets up your play-action passes. I am stating the obvious but you guys seem to forget the basics.

BTW, I am a 100% Tucker Fan……Go Tigers!!!

A friend of mine told me that the coaches almost faught some parents after the Tucker loss. That game was managable until the end. Yall got the tools. Im with you @Just Lookin. They are going to have to keep that Gainsville offense off the field with some sort of run game. They abandoned it too early against Tucker.

@Just looking

I hope MLK coaches are smart enough to review that Stanford/Oregon game to see the blue print to contain that gimmick spread offense. I bet no one thought that the ducks could be slowed down but it can happen! I just hope they are smart enough to use the same game plan. Like you said in your previous post, MLK has the horses: they just need to be utilized correctly. IT CAN BE DONE!

Congrats to Arabia Mountain! Although they missed the playoffs by 1 game, they finished the season 7-3 and looks to have a bright future.

….
some of MLK previous coaches are at Arabia. Says a little something about the previous coaching staff at MLK. They at least knew how to make adjustments. Good luck to all the DeKalb teams competing on Friday!
