ALLATOONA by 10 over my beloved EAST PAULDING RAIDERS,shows how far we have fallen, when are they going to wake up and fire this inept fool HC of ours, went to the game against SOUTH PAULDING two weeks ago, pitiful crowd there, obviously the fans have given up on CHUCK GODDARD

I hope the Stephenson coaches are thinking and don’t play Mr Rivers at all in their finale against N Atlanta. An injury to him in this game will mean a definite first round loss.

I am surprised there is not more talk about the McEachern and Hillgrove game. Two one loss teams and one of these two will be travelling in the first round .

@AJC…………you have this about right. MLK needs to make a statement against Miller Grove to show the rest of 5A that MLK still can be, and still is a formidable opponent for anyone going into the playoffs.

That 1st round loss last year still resonates with the boys who experienced that and I am sure especially based on the way this season went, their desire is to make amends.

Good luck MLK.

23 point spread by Gainesville over Flowery Branch AJC; Really???
The spread should be more like 42 points! Did you not see Gainesville on ESPN last week?
You think that hurry up offense and big play ability everytime the ball is snapped to D-Wat will only get a 3 TD differential between Gainesville and Branch? Come on AJC?? Not even close!

Gainesville is going to destroy Branch. This is a revenge game tomorrow and it is for the Region!
Did you mean 23 points differential per half?? That would be more like it.
I think Gainesville will send a message to the unlucky Reg 6 team coming up 985 next week by destroying Branch like they were at war. So MLK, Stephenson, Tucker or Mays whoever is coming up here, pay attention—————–
BOOOM!! TD pass by Watson while the opposing defense was too busy celebrating
BOOOM!! TD run by Watson………..look at that speed and power
BOOOM!! TD again by Gainesville. Region 6 has no clue what just hit them.

Region 5, just go ahead and forfeit now. Your time is coming!! BOOOM. Dang, another TD!!

I don’t agree with that Colquitt/Camden score. But, If history has shown us anything when those two get together it is well worth the price of admission. A top defense against a top running team. Colquitt passing against a not so good pass defense. I don’t think that Camden can put enough pressure on the QB to keep the QB from hitting the big plays, Camden is small on the front D line and will be exposed like N Gwinnett did. King will have a huge night, would not suprise me if he had over 200 yards runshing. Camden’s defense is good, but have not seen a balanced attack like Colquitts since N Gwinnett ran them out of the Ga Dome. This may be the first year in a long list to come that Colquitt runs away with this game. I don’t see Camden scoring 10, but I can see Colquitt puting up 30 or 40 to make a statement. If this game is closer than 20, Colquitts way, I will be off this site for 1 whole year and pay for a page in the Camden County newspaper apologizing. Won’t happen though. Colquitt 45 Camden 7 in a laugher in Kingsland.

@ raiderfan…FOR LIFE!…

The loss AT ROME was bad as EAST could have won this game, then coming home to “THE BONEYARD” another game EAST could have (and SHOULD HAVE) won…game was tied at the 2 minute mark! Oh well…COULDA…SHOULDA…WOULDA!!!!

I have been criticized, chastised and downright BLASTED on some previous blogs last week about venting against Coach Goddard…They accused me of “leading a charge” to “take away someone’s lively hood”…I was “informed” that Coach Goddard was responsible for last years UNDEFEATED season and he has a record of 17 / 4 right now and we are not giving him a chance!

Therefore in keeping a VERY open mind and to prove to myself that we are not being delusional about his coaching “style” I have made a VERY strong and concerted effort this last week to avoid ANY negative comments towards coaching and to look towards this Fridays game as a NEW opportunity for him to redeem himself to the RAIDER NATION.

EAST is once again back in control of it’s OWN future, they control their destiny…JUST WIN!!!

An EAST win tomorrow night and EAST gets the # 3 seed in Region 5 AAAAA…SO…

—> BEAT ALLATOONA!!! They are NOT 10 Points better than you!

countryhawg…youre insane. you need one of two things to beat camden in kingsland: 1) an all gwinnett team like norcross last year or 2) luck (the Pack in 2011)

@ its –

North will be just wanting to get outta this game healthy, so they can win 2-3 rounds in the playoffs.

Am hoping for a Buford – Washington County AAA Finals…. Since they are the Top 2 ranked teams in the state!!! Regardless of classification, that it!!

Packerfan, not so fast my friend. Norcross was that much better than anyone last year. No need for the 2011 Packers. The Packers have the one thing that is difficult for Camden, a great defense, not just up front, but at linebackers, safety and corners. Offensively, the Packers have a running game and passing game to keep Camden from clock running. As I said Camden is too small up front defensively and offensively. Camden has trouble with balanced teams. The only advantage has is home field and the number of running backs. They have no passing game. Even with a passing game last year the Packers took that game and Norcross shut down the running and passing game. You heard it here first.

@sportsnut camden scoring 31 pt on the packers? really? no team has scored 30 pts all season on the pack,,,not even HOOVER and their much better than Camden…oh well we shall see…

MADDBALL, I agree don’t see where the 31 points come from for Camden. Camden relies on special teams, turnovers and big plays. The Pack knows this and are well versed in shutting them down. Don’t see Camden clock running, this means a. Lot of 3 and outs. The Pack understands the importance of this game and what it means in checking off goals for the year. One game at a time.

Well, game day is here. Huge games all around AAAAAA. None may be bigger than down in the most southeast corner of Ga. My old Navy shipmate in Kings Bay letting me use his sons reserved seat since his son is deployed. Stay safe out there. Colquitt/Camden region 1 title on the line, Pack fans need to turnout for this one. Went to the Lowndes/Camden game and was disappointed by the Vikings turnout, with so much on the line for that game, there was as many band members as fans. This one should be a good one. Defenses may be comparable, I give Colquitt the nod on the defensive front though. Colquitt gets the offensive edge, why? Because they have a balanced team offensively, they run and pass equally well. Camden gets the big play nod, they have between 5 or 6 backs that can take it the distance on offense or defense. Colquitt gets the kicking game nod, Camden’s kicking game is not that good. If both teams come to play, this will be like the last 2 games, unlike last year when the Camden QB had a high ankle injury and limited to movement in the pocket from the rush and the focus to stop #5, there are 5 or 6 different backs to focus on. But, because Camden cannot pass or have the sure threat of the pass, Colquitt in a close one. Will not predict a score, just think that Colquitt has too many intangibles for Camden to overcome.

WELL….WELL…WELL… I see GHSF still has ROME predicted to be the # 4 seed in Region 5 AAAAA…They have ALLATOONA showing to beat EAST by 10 pts so it appears they have NO confidence that EAST can beat ALLATOONA tonight. Hmmmmm!

Well EAST entered it’s game last Friday night with winless LITHIA SPRINGS knowing it was staring at missing the playoffs for only the 2nd time since 05. With a loss to ROME a few weeks ago EAST had dug a hole that forced EAST to beat LITHIA SPRINGS last Friday and then go TO ALLATOONA tonight and win AGAIN! The problems at EAST this year have been no secret and many post have been made about them.

The air had seemingly gone out of the EAST balloon with the loss to SOUTH two weeks ago and you could tell it from the sparse attendance in the Home stands last week. EAST scored twice in the first 6 minutes and went on to win 34 / 0 with the CANNON firing and the smoke filling the air. Expecting one final game with ALLATOONA to end the season seemed likely…THEN suddenly the smoke cleared and a VILLA RICA team that EAST had beat 31 / 0 a few weeks before came to the rescue as their “D” held ROME who went for 2 after scoring a TD in OT and VILLA RICA beat ROME 21 / 20!!! EAST still had some LIFE left in the season after all.

Now the EAST team that was sure it was going to be on the outside looking in this year has it’s playoff fate SOLELY in it’s own hands. Not only can EAST make the playoffs BUT they can make it as the # 3 spot…and this is HUGE!!! The # 4 seed is going to have to play KELL at KELL, assuming KELL wins it’s “Play-In” game tonight!

So…EAST has to STOP all the bickering, FORGET about all the problems, pull themselves up and PRACTICE harder than they have all year and go into ALLATOONA with one thing on their mind…WIN!!!

Do this and they keep the playoff streak alive and live to play in the 1st Round of the State Playoffs. SO EAST…JUST WIN!!!

The EAST RAIDER NATION of cheering, bell ringing followers need to support this team and fill the visitors side tonight at ALLATOONA…So —>

Here’s hoping REGION 5 AAAAA will look like this in the morning:

# 1 / NORTH PAULDING with the 1st Region Championship in school history!

Proud to be able to say again…

A computer-generated poll is meaningless. And I’ll say it again pal, Cartersville gave that game to Buford last year.
