Robert Edwards won a state championship in basketball but lost in the championship game in football. He’s the head coach at Greene Co.

Yeah, a lot of people assume that Robert was part of the ‘94 Waco team that won state. It would’ve been unfair if he’d played with that bunch. They were unbeatable without him.

I’ll go with Hal Lamb as a student in 1982 and as a coach at Calhoun in 2001.

Camden should really have an asterisk on their streak – many of those region titles (all?) were came when they were in a region made up of smaller Savannah schools who played up at Camden’s request – will be interesting to see how they do in region 1 now.

Calhoun will own the new record Friday. I don’t see them losing region whatever next year either even if they move to AAA.
