List/Trivia/Quote: Parkview’s Flowe is Gwinnett’s all-time victory leader

Parkview coach Cecil Flowe announced his retirement after Parkview’s 21-13 victory over Central Gwinnett on Friday. Flowe has won more games as a Gwinnett County coach than any other with 196. Here are those who have won more than 100:

196 – Cecil Flowe, Parkview

185 – Tally Johnson, Central Gwinnett

172 – Kevin Maloof, Dacula/Meadowcreek

150 – Cecil Morris, Duluth

149 – Dave Hunter, Brookwood

129 – Ed Cochran, Buford

118 – Dexter Wood, Buford

114 – Mickey Conn, Grayson

116 – Jess Simpson, Buford

115 – Keith Maloof, Norcross

108 – Mark Crews, Brookwood

North Gwinnett’s Nate Brown has 16 touchdown receptions this season. Wayne County’s Krenwick Sanders has 13. But neither is close to the state record set in 2010. Who is the record-holder? (Answer Tuesday)

Answer to Friday’s question: Stewart-Quitman is the Georgia school that has been beaten by at least 60 points the most times since 1971 with 17.

Congrats again to Cecil….. Great coach & even better man..

The 60 point losses might be eclipsed by Meadowcreek in the near future.. Poor Mustangs…

I have to admin Buford has been playing football probable longer than any of the other schools, aside from Central.. But to have 3 in the top.. Coach Simpson will run away with the top mark if he wants to stay with the Wolves 8-10 more seasons..
