Allatoona 44, Hiram 7: Junior running back Josh Bettistea tallied 295 yards with four touchdowns on 20 carries for Allatoona. The Buccaneers’ defense forced four fumbles and recovered all of them. Allatoona had 380 yards of total offense and played with reserves for the majority of the second half.
Creekside 41, McIntosh 10: Creekside’s Bryson Terry and Dexter Knox each rushed for first-half scores and quarterback Felix Harper threw touchdowns to Jayson Stanley and Darvin Williams as the Seminoles led 25-7 at the half. Williams caught another touchdown from Harper and Terry rushed for another score for Creekside in the second half.
Kell 53, Sprayberry 7: Host Kell was led by running back Darian Harris, who had two rushing touchdowns of 80 yards or more as well as a 33-yard touchdown pass to Julian Burris. Burris also opened the game with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Mundy’s Mill 24, Union Grove 17: With a solid defensive outing, the host Tigers were able to hold on late after fumbling the football with two minutes to go. The opportunity to tie the game was thwarted when the Tigers’ defense forced its sixth turnover of the game. Running back Rodney Smith led the way with 288 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Sequoyah 31, Northview 21: Lex Lauletta of host Sequoyah threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. His first touchdown pass was to Darrion Rakestraw for 65 yards. He also hit Nick Falco for a touchdown before his 1-yard run, which sealed the victory for Sequoyah. Jake Garner also added a 70-yard touchdown run for Sequoyah.
South Paulding 24, East Paulding 17: Jae Bowen posted two rushing touchdowns, including the game-winner with fewer than two minutes on the clock in the fourth quarter for the Spartans. Quarterback Chandler Burks also rushed for a score. Kicker Brittany Havenner was perfect on her extra points and added a field goal in the win.
Tucker 55, Miller Grove 12: Elijah Sullivan rushed for three touchdowns, all in the first half for Tucker. The visiting Tigers led 27-0 after one quarter, 34-6 at halftime and 48-6 heading into the fourth quarter. Joseph Proby added an interception for a touchdown to cap off Tucker’s scoring. Dominick Sanders, Joseph Farrar and Myles Donaldson also had touchdown runs.
