Matt Fligg – Any relation to “Jack Fligg”, a Decatur Boys High Standout from the 1940’s who went on to coach under Bobby Dodd at Georgia Tech.

Matt is Jack’s son. He would be proud that someone asked. Jack also was a high school coach, at Grady, before moving on to the college ranks. Jack Fligg passed away last year.

I didn’t realize so many schools would be on this list, seeing as how Valdosta has been the only school to accomplish the feat in 40+ years. Of course, this won’t last for a lot of teams with the playoffs coming up. In fact, I doubt there are any schools (with the possible exception of Buford) that will make the list when the season is over.

I was at ole Avondale HS when they ran thru us like a buzzzzzz saw… 62-12… In the state championship.

They were the Crimson Tide vs Ga State (St being all competition) that entire season!
