Who cares about national rankings. They do nothing for a team other than invite recruiting attention.

Everyone is giving North flack about last week but after watching the game online I applaud the defense who played on their side of the 50 practically for three quarters due to Turnovers and shanked kicks. Say what you want but the team that beats North will have to be strong in every phase of the game. Lovejoy is nothing without Preston Williams and that defense isnt the same with that DC gone to dutchtown. So the playoffs will be very interesting come round 2..

@ Ballcoach == Lovejoy is Lovejoy. Come and beat us. Until then, shush.

Rankings are foolish. There is no way you can compare teams like that. Playoffs tell the story, then a team could have a bad nite to.

That DC that went to Dutchtown hasn’t had much of an impact. Griffin hung 59 on them. That’s more than the Bears have scored on anyone, and they’ve scored over 30 on every team they’ve played. I’d say Lovejoy’s D stands out because of their personnel.

Eventually, people won’t have a choice. They’ll gain a healthy respect for the teams from the south Atlanta area.

I agree with Catdoc, these national rankings are foolish, how can you possibly rank teams that don’t even have a chance to play each other except on occasion? And if we were ranking these teams please, please, please somebody explain to me how Carrollton, McEachern, Norcross, and Colquitt County are nationally ranked over Tucker, for that matter how are they ranked over Tucker in these southeastern rankings and state of georgia rankings as well? If you haven’t seen the Tucker Tigers perform year in, year out then you don’t know high school football…I’m just saying

I think Gainesville should still be ranked Nationally since we lot to a nationally ranked team. m reasoning is b/c North Gwinnett and Colquitt Co. are still ranked. but whatever, who cares… lol

Ballcoach – How much do you really know about Lovejoy? There are so many more weapons than Preston. We’ve been playing w/out starting QB and LB forever and still wiping people off the field! I agree the D isn’t the same, but getting better by the week. North didn’t fair so well with us last year and I sure don’t see it changing this time around either. Like Sportsnut has been saying, the 2nd season is almost here. That’s when the Cats really kick into high gear!
