Let’s just say Thomson had a few players quit after the first game…. Then before this game they had a few more decide they was ready for basketball season over football… So a 13-6 win over an winless Swainsboro team is not worth reporting…

What makes you think ANYBODY would want to read about another Buford University win over poor little “real” high school? Those poor fellas from White shouldn’t have to line up against that Gwinnett County all star team! And the fact that they beat another “real” high school senseless is really not news.

@Please! Get a life… Yes Buford has done a great job building a great team. Your lil ol county school can do the same thing, but I guess you feel that your team shouldn’t work hard and that your team should be entitled to a championship. Buford puts a lot of hours into preparation all year, what does your team do all year, go fishing?
The year Buford played (beat) Americas for the championship, their coach allegedly said half their players couldn’t spell their name.

Black1. Obviously you don’t read the paper everyday. There was a blog about that just the other day. Buford has to play 7 Region games. One of the other games was against defending AAAAA CHAMPION Gainesville, a playoff AAA team Elbert CO, and a hapless A team Hancok (who is the ONLY team Buford could find to play them). I guess Buford didn’t play anyone in the playoffs last year to WIN the state chapionship either.

Buford sets up their schedule to win. If they had a pair, they would play up and request /petition to play in 6A Region 7. They would not be playing their JV in the second half of that schedule but they insist on playing people they can beat up on. Thus they get NO RESPECT at all as it should be. Candy ass schedules for 15 years and longer!!!!! Count up their opponents wins….. O my Gosh! Fake Gold Rings are pretty too I guess.

@ALL Everybody calm down. I find that Canes in Region 5 get the same lack of credit as far as our region being weak. In spite of what reagion you are end you still have to have the ability to compete when the playoffs begin. No excuses at that time because when you get there you have to play your best and beat the best to be the best. period. I know that many teams to include the Canes, WACO, Burford, N Hall, St Pius, Carver Columbus, BT and a few more ae all contenders and yes as I have said before Buford can be beat, but you have to play mistake free football and be able to stop the run to do so. So, I say again Buford can be beat it is just a matter of time. I actually that N Hall has a chance to compete against Buford this year. It will be interesting since its the last game of the regular season for them. GO CANES!!!!!!!!

@Jusfellofftheturniptruck So, N Hall’s defense isn’t as good as projected? Or is Buford just that good that nobody can compete with them in AAA? If not N Hall; then who????
