Only one ranking counts: the last one.

That’s what I am saying. Run this after the season is over because we know things are going to happen. As a matter of fact, those things start to happen tonight.

Right now, NG probably is the best team in 6A. But there’s still a lot of football to be played. Let’s see what happens when the pressure is on and one and done is the order of the day! :-)

I must be getting senile, Sportsnut. Which things happened on Friday to change NG’s Number 1 ranking? The BYE game that North did not play? Or was there something else you were expecting to shake up the rankings?

@C74. Are you suggesting you think North will go out in the 1st round? Really? North faces a real gauntlet to get through P Ridge, Collins Hill, and Mill Creek. But they would still have to be considered the most likely to win their Region. North has absolutely owned P Ridge, and beat them handily even in the season that P Rdige was the State Champion.

If Lovejoy and North both win their Regions then it would appear that North and Lovejoy are headed for a rematch in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Given the fact that Lovejoy can’t seem to put the game away against teams like Colquitt, Alpharetta, and East Coweta? There is certainly no assurance Lovejoy will make it that far. However, North’s coach does a pretty good job preparing a successful game plan once he has seen a team before. Ask Camden, Grayson, or Brookwood how that turns out. Now that is a game that I would really like to see. I sincerely hope that Lovejoy punches a ticket to Suwanee in a few weeks..
